Tampa Bay +265 over YANKEES

Sturtze had a poor outing yesterday but the Tampa pen continued its strong play. Rivera and Stanton worked two of the last three and they got hit both times out so there is a question as to whether they will be effective. Mendoza went very long on Saturday so he may not be available, either. The Rays got 3 off Mussina last time and he followed that up with a poor performance. Now he is jumping a spot in the rotation after consecutive 105+ pitch outings. Lopez has pitched perhaps his two best games of the year his last two starts. His fastball is consistently 95+. Great spot for the D-Rays here.

Looks like a tough morning loss but I have one for tonight.

Anaheim +160 over OAKLAND 400/640

Washburn has been all world lately. He did throw a ton of pitches his last time out but Hasegawa, Levine and Percival are all rested so even if he is on a pitch count the Angels should be okay. Hudson has not been as sharp in his last few starts. Both lineups are dangerous but the pitching advantage make the Angels the play here.

Nick,
I am with ya on the Angels play!!! I am waiting a touch since the line is still rising...... but as far as value goes, I am sure Washburn and the Angels can win this game more than 39% of the time.

Good luck,
HC
