I like orgeron. He sucked over a decade ago at ole miss, but has grown from it. I did read herman and aranda are old buddies, so that angle sounds reasonable.

I like orgeron also, and he would bust his but to excel. He may or may not have all the x's/o's, etc but that can be hired with coordinators. Need a captain to drive the ship and he could be good at that.

Herman might be the best choice, but Houston would put up a fight letting him get away. Houston is going places and the area is a recruiting hotbed, and close to LSU for that matter. But Herman might prefer to do battle in the Big 12 (probably where they are headed) than the SEC (West especially); or he could have the attitude, 'bring on the best' and want some of that SEC action.

Strangely enough maybe, if he's matured, Kiffin is one hell of an play caller; that to go with an always stout defense could make that situation attractive. Fleck is interesting and has got to be doing something right, but people may think he's to young, but you can't always hold that against a man.

Can't wait!

Two people-Mark Dantonio for the reason that they've gone that route before and it was successful. I also think he's a hell of a coach that is doing more with less.

Briles-If you can forget what happened at Baylor then he would be a great hire. He has a GREAT football mind and motivates players. What he did at Baylor was nothing short of amazing. One of the big kickers for a Briles hire is you would instantly be getting a stud QB with him that knows his system in Jarrett Stidham.

True on both. The only thing that has really held LSU back is the lack of a top flight QB and possibly coaching of course, or we wouldn't be here right now; and I think recruits knew that Myles was primarily a run first guy, and maybe had that 3 yards & cloud of dust mentality.

Eric Taylor's resume is unreal

Eric Taylor's resume is unreal

this was funny

https://medium.com/sportspickle/lsu-not-sure-who-to-hire-after-discovering-coach-eric-taylor-is-not-a-real-person-f04ae9f1b3e2#.q6q6s55jx

article states

?Joe thought ?Friday Night Lights? was a documentary,? said a prominent LSU booster. ?We all did. It was very realistic and gritty. We wanted Eric and Tammy Taylor here and thought we were going to have a home run hire. Instead, we have Ed Orgeron. I?m worried we made a big mistake.?
