Between Green Bay and Iowa City
December 7

NCAA YTD: 44-42 (+5.00*)
Not yet Bowl eligible.

Toledo(+10 and OV 56') for 1.5*
They have responded time and again. And both sides are rolling loaded dice. (It's funny how the MAC meant stay away before I stumbled upon Madjacks. Go Rockets!)

Georgia(-8) for 1.5*
This one has looked all season like it was going to belong to Georgia. Arkansas domination to seriously challenge and take it away from the fresh Dawgs is not the side for me.

Miami(-17') for 1*
These are the angles I looked at while expecting to play VT and coming down on the side of Miami: (a) VT needed to right the ship last week, and they delivered a physical and emotional win that should absolutely have carryover to their showcase game of the season; (b) Enough teams have run at and through Miami that a falloff in other areas means this year's team is just a shirttail relation and a step removed from the fearsome champions of last year; (c) With power in the VT running game, the linchpins to the play are the expectations regarding soph QB Bryan Randall making big plays (most likely from behind) and a defense that will be stretched and needs to come up big through 60 minutes, and what I see has turned the tide in favor of Miami; (d) However the game plays out, there shouldn't be anything VT hasn't seen before from the Canes; (e) Kudos to Coker in big games, but Miami loses an edge when they are getting love rather than disrespect, while the team with nothing to lose is looking to shock with its first win (or is it its first win under Beamer?) over a Top 5 team; (f) The pressure is on Miami to win, and there are lots of scenarios in which that theme plays into the hands of a 17' point dog, but this experienced team should be at full focus from start to finish with what is finally at stake; and (g) It's cool how this matchup could play out as a preliminary bout to a Miami/Ohio State matchup, and if VT takes care of business, I know which side I'll be on if Miami faces a healthy Clarett.

Parlay Toledo(+170ML) and Colorado(+280ML) for 0.5* @ 9.26/1
Maybe I can reel in a couple of donnybrooks.

Navy(-3) for 1*
It's been said that this is a great college football game to watch and a lousy one to bet on. Army LB/Safety and elected captain Ryan Kent: "It's not so much a matter of records going into the game or who's on a roll or what's going on. It's that game on that day." Maybe I should have let George Carlin cap this one: "In football, the object is for the quarterback, otherwise known as the field general, to be on target with his aerial assault, riddling the defense by hitting his receivers with deadly accuracy in spite of the blitz, even if he has to use the shotgun. With short bullet passes and long bombs, he marches his troops into enemy territory, balancing this aerial assault with a sustained ground attack that punches holes in the forward wall of the enemy's defensive line. In baseball, the object is to go home! And to be safe! "I hope I'll be safe at home!" http://www.klmj.com/sports/carlin.htm lostinamerica
