the only thing that scares me here is Ponson left his last start after getting hit with a line drive -- is he 100% healthy?

Ponson has been a giant killer this season. The O's have won 3 of his starts at +200 this season beating Clemens twice and Schilling. Pettitte still has to prove he's back from his injury.

from the baltimore sun....

Hargrove and trainer Richie Bancells went to the mound. Ponson clenched his fingers into a fist, and pain covered his face. He tried to make two practice pitches, but one missed high and the other one bounced past catcher Geronimo Gil in the dirt.

Hargrove had no choice. He pulled Ponson, replacing him with Chris Brock. So on a night he might have had a win against Schilling, Ponson was gone after allowing one run on three hits in 3 2/3 innings.

Ponson had X-rays taken at the ballpark, and they showed no broken bones. He was diagnosed with a contusion of the wrist and is listed as day-to-day.

im sure he has been throwing since and recieving treatment...no worries.

What about this??

- Sidney Ponson (3-4, 4.07) faces the Yankees for the fourth time this season. He is 0-1 in three starts against New York this year, allowing 11 runs and 18 hits over 19 innings. Lifetime against the Yankees, Ponson is 2-5.

- Ponson do not win since May 23

Scares me, but still like me!!

PONSON HAS STARTED AGAINST THE YANKEES THREE TIMES THIS SEASON...BALTIMORE WON THE LAST TWO....THE LOSE WAS ON APRIL 4.....THIS IS GOING TO BE A CLOSE GAME NO QUESTION....BUT I CANT PASS ON BALT GETTING 160 AT HOME IN A CLOSE GAME THAT CAN BE WON BY SIDNEY....HE WAS THE STARTER THAT BEAT SCHILLING HIS LAST GAME AND DIDNT FINISH....HE IS ON TOP OF HIS GAME RIGHT NOW.
