"So this is Xmas
And what have you done..."
Well, only about another 2 hrs left at work here in lil ol NZ on Xmas Eve for Anders.
I want to take this opportunity to wish all Madjackers a very merry Xmas and festive season and hope that your 2003 develops into a fantastic year.
I've have dropped a very quick e-mail to a handful of regulars here who I have developed good friendships with over the past few seasons as a Madjacker. I cherish those friendships and can see them lasting for a long time and I make a guarantee that one day I will get to meet most of you, despite living in ...
"Aotearoa
Rugged individual
Glisten like a pearl
At the bottom of the world"

Want to extend that to all people the have made this place their ineternet home - it's a fine place to be and people who stereotype gamblers as irrational, uncaring, shallow people could learn a lot from a visit here.
Woke today to some very sad news that Joe Strummer, a man who meant an awfully lot to me during those awkward, uncertain teenage years had passed away aged 50.
Joe was a man with passion, the conviction of his values, strength, love, humanity and through his music could also show that, as John Lydon sang .. "anger is an energy". If you've never listened to those early Clash albums then you have missed out on some of the most raw, intense illustrations of what's wrong and right that transcends popular music. RIP Joe.
It's also a timely reminder that our time here is limited. Make the most of it - remind your loved ones how much you need them.
While most of you hope to have your bookie's nuts roasting on the open fire  I'm going to be snapping open a cold one, turn the steak over on the barbie, pinching Lucy Lawless on the a$$ and watching my kids' faces light up with each present :spotting:
So to u all...
"A very merry Xmas
And a Happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear"
dance2 :yup
And what have you done..."
