If you have not read Nolan Dalla's recent Las Vegas installment, Chapter 7, you owe it yourself to read his very inspirational piece. Many of his articles have left me with a positive feeling toward mankind but this one is exceptional. You can find it on his page under Free Picks.

Thanks Nolan!

Have to agree with you scrarecrow. Nice chapter Nolan.

"Indeed, it?s the little things in life that really matter most. Courage and strength are manifested in the small things, and are virtues that we should all try to make part of our lives. Although I seriously doubt they will ever see this, nor will they know they may have inspired others to do good deeds, two rodeo cowboys at the Gold Coast taught me a valuable lesson." Nolan Dalla

I think they will see this Nolan. I think alot of cowboys will see this.

damn you , you made my friggin wife cry again reading this!

Thanks you for the very nice comments, Gentlemen.

I sometimes wonder if the sentiments expressed "connect" with anyone out there. Perhaps much of the time I am just writing these pices for myself, to keep faith and optimism alive in a world of much greed and despair. I do truly believe this is an exceptional group of honest and decent people here, and I am pleased to know that others feel as I do about how we should conduct our lives.

To the other extreme.....

As for me -- I could probably use a class in "anger management. " Everytime I watch the officials call an NFL game, I feel like I'm going to bust a testacle.

"There's nothing unusual about helping a handicapped person or seeing two friends going out to lunch. I suppose had this been any other person other than a rugged-looking cowboy in the wheelchair and a nurse or a personal assistant, I wouldn't have given the matter two seconds of thought. But it hit me than that this was truly a poignant sight. Two "cowboys" out to lunch -- one helping his friend and sacrificing his own comfort to make this other man's life live-able." Nolan Dalla

I liked that part. Maybe the cowboy in the wheelchair had broken his back riding bulls and his friend was a rodeo clown that was with him when it happened.

"Life has taught me it's the small things that really matter. It's the small things in life that bring joy and nourish our prevailing sense of optimism. Small things -- like a glass of vintage wine, a meaningful conversation with family or friends, a comfortable resting place beside a warm fireplace, hearing your favorite Christmas carol on the radio, or watching a golden sunset -- all of those things might not seem exceptional, but they are! They are indubitably rewarding. When we look back at our lives, I think most of us remember the simpler things we?ve all done and experienced that brought us the most happiness." Nolan Dalla

I don't think indubitably is a word Nolan. If it is I think I need to get a dictionary for christmas.

I like this part of the Chaptor 7.

Start editing that list for Santa.

the link.

It's, technically, the adverb form of indubitable, but is, basically, the adverb form of undoubtable.

Wasn't there some old commercial where someone sang "they're indubitably delicious" or something?

thanks Shrimp, I could have looked it up with my lazy :moon:

And after rereading the sentence it looks as if he used the word in the proper context also.

All is right with my world now. I feel better about things.

It is not often I see a word that I have never seen before or don't know the meaning to.

Props to Nolan

actually, what I was thinking of was "they're magically delicious".

i think there may have been some other commercial, however, where a character asks another some question, and the answer was "indubitably". I'm foggy on the details, but someone might know.
