About the same as cutting aid for Israel, Farm subsidy's, closing tax breaks for corps going overseas, and defense most likely. They are not interested in these cuts for some reason.

But they are the first to take something away from the workingman struggling to pay his bills. It used to be funny but now it is enough to make you sick. Hey Conservatives, get a clue, it ain't tricking down!

Stevie, i thought it was even funnier when people were walking away from their homes and the guilt some were trying to give them but hiding when u asked them about these big bank bonuses being handed to the same people who got bailed out with our money. It is hard to get mad at someone who walked away from their mortgage when banks were handed money like it was nothing for their failures.

i am not a conservative - I am a libertarian and an individualist.

No subsidies for anyone or any sector or any company.

Let the free market prevail.

Atlas Shrugged. Read the book. The movie is coming. Might surprise some people as to how relevant it is today.

I can't get into the Ayn Rand stuff. Not that I object to lesbos, but she's just far too fucked up.

Help me out here - what the fuck does this mean?

"Genius is an exaggeration of dimension. So is elephantiasis. Both may be only a disease."
? Ayn Rand (The Fountainhead)

You'll find more wisdom in the words of Charles Manson. He's not as crazy as Rand.*

*Rand Paul is aptly named. Crazy as a shithouse rat.

I feel that i am a fiscal conservative. I am against tax hikes except when balancing budget is a priority as it is now. At the moment, I would like to raise taxes as needed, but also drastically reduce spending. I would undoubtedly like to cut subsidies and tax incentives at the corporate level. How the fuck else are we going to balance this budget?

IMO, the one industry it makes sense to spur on with tax breaks and fed subsidies is alternative energy. Like I have said before, we should cut military presence globally, and use a portion of those funds for alternative energy programs. We need to make alternative energy our space program of the 60's. I would also drill more now, since I realize it will take decades for alternative energy sources to make an impact.

I'll let you liberal vultures go to town on my thoughts now:0008

Conservatives on this board do not want this. "Government controlling us." "Taking away our rights." "Need less government" "If I want to waist energy and oil it should be my right." "If we lessen the troops then we are pussies and will be attacked."

Yet at the same time they are all for government when gay rights are involved and when government attempts to crush unions. Never any consistency.

I agree with most of it. But I would raise taxes on the rich. States are broke. The top 2 or 3% have more than they will ever need for generations. The more we cut services the more burdon we put on the Middle Class in the way of fees. Raising taxes on the top earners will start to correct the redistribution of wealth that has taken place the past 15 years or so.

Sounds like something Ron Paul would say.

Certainly we have to stop being Global Cops.

Why in the hell do we need to keep sending Space Shuttles up? NASA is IMO a waste ! If there really is a need for it, the government has to be 100% honest with the public why the expenditures. What is so freaking important up there? Are they hiding something from us? Reagans Star Wars Program (Uh, yes... it was completed folks) Special Ops Shuttle Programs ?

These are not conservative views. Drill more that is about it. Actually they could be but the politicians who call themselves conservative crack me up. Nothing conservative about them.

Not one of the outspoken conservatives has managed to respond to this thread. Either they don't know what to say, or don't think they should respond - I doubt all of them have NOT seen the title of this thread.

Interesting, or perhaps not. :popcorn2
