Don?t know if this post belongs here, but I wanted everyone in this forum to read this.
I have been active in this hobby for over 30 years. I made my first wager at the trotters with my father when I was 14 years old. It was on a horse named Hot Dog. I won and it paid $7.50. I was hooked. Over the next 30+ years, like many of you, I have strived to find a way to beat ?the man?. Sometimes I would and most other times I wouldn?t. I even spent money on ?pay? capping services for their picks. One of them cost me $2500 for a collage basketball season. When that season was over was down $800 not counting the $2500 for the service.
Last October 30th I was cleaning out my gutters and the ladder broke. I fell of the ladder and busted all of the ribs on my left side. On of them dislodged from the socket and punctured my lung. Needless to say I was out of work for 6 weeks. During that time I would spend all day surfing the net looking for sports capping sites for information. I came upon a site that had a number of other links on it. Madjacks was one of them. When I first started ?lurking? on this site I was intrigued to see how much information there was being passed around. The best part was that is was good information. Around the middle of November I started considering some of the info I was reading in these forums before I would make a wager. By February I was addicted to this forum. I didn?t register until May only because I wasn?t sure how much I could contribute based on the tremendous amount of cappers posting here.
I have never bragged about my ability to cap games because I never thought I was that good. If I was I would be living in a penthouse in Las Vegas. I have learned a lot in this forum and I have also realized that when you post reasons why you cap a game the way you do and you don?t win, no one comes down on you. This may be the most important aspect to this forum. It shows respect for each other. I will say this, the last 8 months has been like taking and advanced ?capping? class in collage. You guys are great. Since November of 2000, I have been on an 8-month winning streak. I have never been on a winning streak this long before.
I want to thank all of you that contribute to this forum, I want to Thank Jack for making this forum possible, and I want to thank that stupid ladder for breaking and causing me to break my ribs so that I had time to find this forum.
Thanks again all of you.
