? about hockey lines

I have never used a local for hockey but Tuesday nite I asked what he had for the Ott/Phil game and he said Phil-6.5. I passed because I couldn't figure it out. I would appreciate help from anyone that knows. Thanks.

but hey if he's giving Philly -6.5 goals............ummmmm I'd go with the Sens +6.5 in that one

IE- how would I figure that out using different numbers. Say that tonite he says Phil 6? Thanks.

if he said it was 6 tonight, then it would be -120, just double the # really

you would be laying 6 to win 5
my local does the same thing i.e. "the yankees are favored 9-8" he would say
that means the yankess are -180 and the opponent is +160
