Hey All....been cold lately, luckily i haven't been posting picks, though......but, i think i will be on the rebound tonight with a pair of puppies.
BC +2.5........i follow Va Tech and love playing them. They have been a great favorite the last couple of seasons....BUT i do not think this is a vintage Hokie team, particularily along the lines and the QB position. BC has acheived more this year and combined with their recent 7-3 ATS run as a home dog makes them my play against the VT despite the Hokies great run of thursday night success.....as long as BC can avoid faling into a Beamer ball trap (I know, a big if, but dont sleep on BC's special teams, either) i think they'll get the come out ahead.
CSU +6 I love Sonny Lubick as an underdog.....on the road as a dog in his career, he is 24-16 and is an amazing 20-4-1 ATS as a pick or dog in league play on any field. Sure, lately that latter trend has cooled, going 7-3 the last five years and just 3-2 the last two seasons, but two of those ATS losses were against the powerful BYU team in 2001 and Urban Meyer's stud Utah team in 2004. The third loss was to TCU last year. No offense to Air Force, but they are not in that same category and are 6-15 ATS as a home favorite in league play the last 10 seasons. Air Force reminds me a little of the critique Notre Dame has had relative to getting a lot of mileage out of a loss (the Irish's last year to USC). Air Force nearly stunned Tenn and that is why they're almost favored by a touchdown here. I see this game as a pick 'em and will gladly take the six points.
The last two weeks have not been kind......turnaround begins with the Eagles and Rams tonight....it's got to, right!?!?!
