First off, I want to thank the many contributors here to the Forum, who post such thoughtful and informative material about all the games. On more occassions than I can count, I have read something here or been influenced by a fact that saved me money. With that said, I di have two plays to add to today's card:

SFO +120 vs. ARZ
Lots of steam coming in on the Giants. Opening line was Snakes by -155. One thing I suspect could be key is Hellig's start for Snakes. He's a key figure in the Labor dispute and since the heat has been turned up on the strike in recent weeks, he has not pitched well. Add the fact the D-Backs are always capable of going into an offensive shell. Jensen is hardly inspiring, but I'll go with the Giants as a value play for a TRIPLE bet....$300 to win $360

BALT / TEX UNDER 9.5 (-115)
It's been posted elsewhere why this is perhaps the best opportunity to bet a Texas UNDER in a long time. I expect one of these starters to come up big tonight and shut the other team down. So long as Rangers do not get on the HR track, 9.5 is a high number. I'll play this for a TRIPLE.....$345/300.

Good luck to all.

Wanted to be the first last night to congratulate you on "crossing over" to the other side, but my Outlook box was down. I crunched the numbers twice to make sure I had it right. Five dollars on the plus side. That's a big climb from the start of the year. Really like the "Dalla Hedge Play"(TM). Might consider a copyright on the "Dalla Double Hedge" from a couple of days ago. Anyway, great see you made it.

Are two bets made on different sides of the same game where there is a possibility of losing both really a "hedge" play?

Are you asking this to split hairs? Of course, technically this is not a hedge in the traditional sense as it is understood in the dictum of sports gambling. I wasn't sure what to call the "angle," so I opted for "hedge" because you have what appear to be two contradictory wagers. If someone can think of a more appropriate term, I'' use that.

not splitting hairs- I just found it interesting that somehow risking 600 to win somewhere between 50-150 is called a hedge. The risk actually is the equivalent as playing -400 to -1200 favorites.

It's an interesting concept and you have had good success with it so far. It actually has me thinking of other concepts in which a similar strategem might be applied.
