There is a stat called Adjusted Square Margin available on espn insider. Stat is the offensive quotient (average points per game by which a team exceeds/falls below the aggregate defense of its opponents) plus the defensive quotient (same stat only defense vs offense). 10 out of the last 16 final four participants have led their bracket in this stat going into the tourney.
