anybody have a clue as to what the problem is when you try to open something that requires adobe acrobat reader......and when i click on it, my computer the page just completely freezes to the point where nothing comes up, but i have to use the CONTROL/ALT/DELETE just to get the page off the screen and stop it from running.

nothing will open and its causing major problems. any clue if its the acrobat reader or maybe a different problem? i just downloaded 7.0 and it worked the first time, but then every time since then, the computer just freezes when i try to open an acrobat file.

I believe this has to do with it trying to perfom updates and you can't see the window because you have something else open

In acrobat if you go to edit---> preferences ---> startup, disable the spalsh screen that will speed up the loading, under internet make sure your right speed is set there also

the last one is the updates section, which might be causing your problems when trying to open files.

Can you save them locally and then open them or are you trying to launch them from within Internet Explorer
