They will be unstoppable on offense....

Adrian Peterson will visit with the New England Patriots on Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday.

The veteran running back remains unsigned after the Minnesota Vikings declined to pick up his option for the 2017 season.

Peterson ran for 72 yards on 37 carries for the Vikings in 2016. He missed significant time after undergoing knee surgery in September. After returning for Minnesota's Week 15 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, he was out for the team's final two games.

The Patriots signed Rex Burkhead earlier in the offseason, but New England likely views Peterson as a better potential replacement for LeGarrette Blount, who became a free agent after the 2016 campaign.

I think Brady, Belichick and Kraft intend on winning every super bowl till B & B retire.

They want to make their mark and really stick it to Goddell and the NFL for the past BS.

They traded for Cooks - HOLY FUCK fastest receiver Brady has ever had. Can you say 50 yard bombs away !

Now if they add AP - My god

I hope AP goes to NE. What fun it will be watch AP behind Brady.

Should AP sign and play for NE, he's a difference maker only w/his speed. L Blount was a straight ahead power runner who could move the ball forward and when he got outside he was tough to bring down, AP on the other hand has been diminished in breakaway runs and his straight ahead runs are 3.1 yd per carry, lowest since his first 2 years in the NFL. Albeit he's been oft injured, he's hit that magic age number and w/NE offensive line and BB' strategy, AP would be a key ingredient however NE is not done getting players and they draft smart, not the most popular names on draft boards but somehow they just do the job year in and year out.

Lewis was a good gadget runner for them, AP would be a welcome addition with his speed, but his durability will be in question from day one of training camp and pre-season, so if they sign him, they had better get some insurance, another vet back or a solid one from the Draft and there are a few that would go later in the NFL Draft. That pick wouldn't have to be a Fournette or Cook, it could be other backs who have speed and blend of moving the ball forward.

It'll be an interesting year for NE in the off-season as it has been already.
