Advice on hedging/canceling a bet on the ALDS

I've got two open bets on the Red Sox in the ALDS against the Astros. I think that the Astros are going to win the series and I would like to hedge/cancel the bets below. As it stands now, if the Astros win the series, I will lose $430. Appreciate input from you guys on what would be the best wager or wagers to offset the wagers below. Thank you for you input.

1) Red Sox to win the series, -220. Wager: Risking $330 to win $150
2) Red Sox to win series 4 games to 3, +400. Wager: Risking $100 to win $400

If the Astros win the series you lose 430. So I would advise you to play Astros tonight for half your losing amount. And if they lose. I would just let it ride and cheer for your Red Sox play.

I think Astros win tonight. If this were me. I would play 400 on stros to hedge out of my loser Red Sox series bet. juts my opinion.

Obviously this does open you up to losing your Red Sox series bet and Astros play tonight if Astros win in 7. That?s why they call it gambling. This situation does not allow a true hedge.

Agree with SD.

You are gambling. You have a chance to buy out and be even but then why gamble? If it was another zero I would hedge some but not those amounts. Let it ride! MLB would love at least one series to go 7. It Boston wins it sure as fuck will be insanely exciting game 7 for us and your bets.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Slumdog's recommendation sounds pretty solid. I'm going to wait until right before game time to decide whether to pull the trigger or not.

Tough spot to be in, I've been there, no great decisions. If you like Houston that much, play them -1.5 you can get +180 in some spots. A lot of runs have been scored in these games, no one run games. That's if you really like Houston. Personally, I think Sox have a decent shot with Evoldi tonight, maybe not so much if it goes seven.
