I am betting the Pats. No special reasoning or stats are even involved. My large bet will be based on a couple of simple things. AFC was completely dominant this year over the NFC. It is difficult to even compare the 2 conferences. The Buffalo Bills could have easily beaten any team in the NFC playoffs except ATl and Philly. Even Atlanta was an overrated team. Philly easily beat Atl, but Atl has shown it is a flawed team (can't pass) (suspect D).
The PAts just beat Indy and Pitt back to back in convincing fashion! There is nothing to make me think the same thing won't happen against Pitt. Nothing Philly can possibly throw at NE on offense will be overly effective. McNAbb is not nearly as accurate as Brady, and Owens will not have a big game. Although the Owens saga sets up perfectly in my opinion. Owens will get so much media attention leading into the game and people will think Philly has a chance as gametime approaches and it appears he will play. Brady is unstoppable and playing almost perfect football. The Pat just scored at will against the number one defense in the NFL. And completely shut down the number one offense a week earlier. The Eagles on the otherhand disposed of inferior competition in the NFC. In my opinion, it makes absolutely no sense to bet the Eagles in this year of AFC dominance. NE is head and shoulders above the AFC and head and shoulders above Philly or any other team in the world. Brady vs. McNabb is not even a comparison in my opinion as McNabb did not look accurate in the playoffs and Brady was picture perfect as usual. As a Bills fan I hate the Pats and Brady, but as a guy trying to make a couple bucks I love them. Pats cruise in this one. Not touching the total. If the line closes at 6.5 because of Owens I will put all my seasons winnings and then some on it. Good luck.
