Pats and ?

Think the Pats with home field though out will be tough to beat...it's not just Brady and Belichek...their Defense is really good as is their running game...so don't see any real threats on the AFC side.

Now the NFC is a totally different animal...all the teams likely to be in have some flaws that could expose them...

1) Dallas-best of the bunch..great O line..but have a rookie playing in the playoffs at QB...that can't help...also, Dallas doesn't really stretch the field with deep threats nor does Dak really go deep...they rely on long drives to score most of the time...quick strike teams could be a threat to them (Atlanta, Skins, GB).
2) Atlanta-probably 2nd best of bunch...prolific offense but suspect D...also, Ryan has "messed the bed" almost every playoff game he's been in...so no guarantee there.
3) Giants-..their D is playing better than anybody elses..and they seem to have the Cowboys number..although I don't think the two will meet unless it's the championship game..their O is pretty average...they could beat either Detroit or GB in first round however.
4) GB-..great QB who is hot connecting with his receivers for the last 6 games of the year...defense still suspect however...will have to outscore their opponents.
5) Seattle-not quite as dominate as before...missing a couple of key defenders..no beast running the ball..passing game off and on..just don't know which team will show up...can be great...can be had
6) Redskins-great offense, no defense..will have to outscore their opponent with no turnovers..will most likely face Seattle if they beat Giants
7) Lions-great QB, average receivers..OK defense...can win late with Stafford's greatness...but need to keep it close to make that happen.

Although the Cowboys are the best of the bunch, the Giants prove they can be beaten..Skins played them tough in two losses as well...So here's one I played...Skins 66:1 to win the NFC...sounds crazy? They'd have to be Seattle in Seattle (Skins have lost 3 times in playoffs to them in a row)..Skins can put points up...beating them is not beyond reason....then they'd have to play Dallas next in Dallas...well, they had the Boys beaten in DC...then they played them almost even on Thanksgiving..hard to beat a good team 3 times in a row..then if they beat Dallas, they'd be in the champiosnship game...vs either Atlanta, GB or Giants...they already beat GB and the Giants this year..so why not put $5 on a 66-1 shot? The odds are long but not beyond total reason they could win. If not them, I'd roll the dice with the Giants who could beat Dallas a 3rd time.

As crazy as things may be on paper and the odds that were put out, how can one not think back who are as old as many of us cappers are, that the KC Chiefs & Green Bay Packers return to a championship could happen? Don't discount it!

I don't think New England's overall package can get them through the AFC Championship game vs the Chiefs or the Raiders as both defenses could give Brady problems and both teams can run the ball.

Dallas has all the intangibles and momentum and Dak has been in pressure situations before so has Zeke, they get a 1st round bye and quite likely could face Green Bay or the Giants.

Seattle stinks and could be knocked out first game in post-season!!
