Well here we are....it's come down to this....
Collingwood "how the hell did they get there" Magpies versus the Brisbane "Crush,Kill,Destroy" Lions. The Magpies are massive underdogs and rightly so going up against last years champs. The only thing that is in Collingwood's favour is the weather. It rained here this afternoon and is expected to continue on and off during Saturday's match. This will probably bring the Lions down a notch and turn the game into a bit of a slog. I'm thinking that where Brisbane would finish with a winning score of 18 goals on a dry day, now they will probably win with 13-14. Leaving the door open for an Under 39.5 point victory. Taking Brisbane Un39.5 v Collingwood @ $2.30
Also having a little on Headland and Akermanis at 8s for the medal
Pawamech System Results - Season 2002
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This season was the first time I had applied this mechanical system to the AFL and was reasonably confident it would perform based on tracking it's history over the last 5 years. I had hoped that it would continue its average of at least trebling the bank from original starting balance. After a slow start to the season where I started to lose a little faith in it (even though historically tracked it has tended to do so), it then began to really kick in and gain some ground. It is purely form driven and reliant on only the previous 2 rounds of football results and statistics. This little baby is an absolute Gem and will be a major money earner in the future. Here are the weekly breakdowns of my mech season which went > 29 wins - 17 losses @ 63% Starting with an initial bankroll of $1600. Reading down the columns with each bet set at 20% of the current balance at the time of the bet.
$1,600 $2,134 $2,698 $5,046
$1,280 $1,920 $2,950
$1,459 $2,112 $2,362
$1,168 $2,429 $2,787
$1,366 $1,949 $3,258
$1,568 $1,562 $2,608
$1,254 $1,824 $3,027
$1,130 $2,134 $3,542
$1,005 $2,496 $4,602
$1,136 $2,922 $5,427
$1,331 $2,339 $6,349
$1,066 $2,736 $5,715
$1,392 $3,200 $6,256
$1,629 $2,560 $5,005
$1,872 $2,995 $4,006
The system peaked at $6349 or 397% of starting bank by the last round of the home and away season then had two losses which hit the bank hard before recovering its final win last week to finish on $5046 or 315%. Ya can't complain about that huh?
Using some good old form logic and a fairly aggressive money management system can pay dividends. Next season I will up the ante and start with a larger bank and hope that the form continues. All aboard in '03 on the pawamech express!!!!
