Well we all know one team from Adelaide will win this week....Much better price than I thought too :p

It's brownlow time of the year tho, more importantly...Here's what I've found......

Centrebet:
Primus to beat Ricciuto @ 1.82
N. Lappin to beat Brad Johnson @ 2.15
Yze to beat Ricciuto/Headland @ 2.50

Australian Sportsbook:
Kane Johnson over Voss @ 2.20
Black over Brent Harvey @ 1.85
Black most votes for Brisbane @ 2.75
Jason Johnson most votes for Essendon @ 1.80
Yze most votes for Melbourne @ 2.15

TAB:
Very shitty they don't allow multi's...Had a cracker paying 44/1

Anyway...Campbell to get most votes for Richmond @ 2.25 ;)

Good luck for all this week...heading off to sunny Queensland for 5 days

Yes MrC some juicy Brownlow odds to be had indeed!!

Black and Campbell for their respective clubs does look like money for nothin' ;)

I've had a bit on Black and Cousins at a good odds in various combos v others. Plus a little on my man Brent Harvey from the Roos and Darcy to cover as the fave. Should be a good night and with the growing popularity in QLD I'm sure it will be televised.

Have a good week and we'll catch you for the 'Granny'

On my way to Melbourne tomorrow night on the train to watch the Crows against Collingwood. My seat is somewhere in the Southern Stand. Go the Crows!!!

Season to Date: 50-31 (61%)

Prelim Finals Plays
Brisbane -29.5 d Port
Port have been poor the last two weeks. They could barely hold a mark against Collingwood and against Essendon were pretty poor apart from the third quarter. Port looked relieved to beat Essendon instead of looking poitively towards Brisbane. Brisbane on the other hand have been relaxing just waiting for a second home final to cement a Grand Final spot.

Adelaide d Collingwood 2.20
Can anyone explain to me why Collingwood is a favorite to win this game? This is a 50/50 game. Adelaide have the finals experience while Collingwood should have the fresher legs. Anybody guess so I'll take the value and that being Adelaide.

Craig.......As much as I want Collingwood to go down in a crumpled heap, I'm starting to get a horrible feeling about this game!!

My mech system actually selects the Pies to win. As they are giving 8.5 points start and knowing how close these two have fought it out in the past, I'll be placing my 20% of the bankroll on Collingwood Under 39.5 v Adelaide @ $2.30
This is the one of the few times this season that I will have to barrack for a scum sucking team that I absolutely despise. The only shining light is that if Adelaide get it done, then my futures bet on them for the cup stays alive. Alas the mech bet and bankroll far out weighs the futures one.

Collingwood favouritism stems from the weeks rest and Adelaide's constant road trips all over the country in the last month. I read also that 12 of the last 16 prelim. finals have been won by the team getting the week off previous. Mind you, Adelaide victorys have been 2 of the 4 exceptions!! ;)

Either way, it should be ball-tearer of a game! And if you guys do get up Craig.....make sure you give it to the Collingwood scum on the way out of the ground!!! :D :D

Have a good one my man...

Commiserations Craig.....

A long way to come just to fall at the second last hurdle......just put the razor blade down son!!!

Just think.....you'll have 'the King' playing in Crows colours next season. Things will get better.

Now on to the ol' Pawamech system who, after sustaining two straight losses and substantial financial damage to the mech-bank, rebounded magnificently with another win (Collingwood Under 39.5 points). Taking the mech record to 29 wins - 17 losses @ just over 63%. The mech bank bouncing back up to 315% of original starting balance. Triple the bank.....can't complain :D

Grand Final next week between Brisbane and Collingwood.

Disappointing is the only way to describe the result but in the end all the finals luck Adelaide has had over the last five years finally ran out (we couldn't keep winning knockout finals every time we played them) as Collingwood ran out 28 point winners.

There are no excuses but a number of reasons all contributed to the loss including number of consecutive road games, injuries during the game to Edwards, Mcleod, Bienke, Stevens and a Collingwood side that has got luck on its side this year although I don't think its enough to beat Brisbane.

The game itself tunrned towards Collingwood when the Crows tried to hold their 3 goal lead at the 25 minute mark and allowed two late goals to lead by 6 at the half. The third quarter saw Collingwood take the lead and run out to a 26 point margin. Crows fought hard to get within 13 but never really looked making a comeback.

After the game the Collingwood supporters were going crazy cheering and singing the club song. One Collingwood player was reported to have tear in his eye. Anyone would think they had won the premiership with some of the reactions which is another reason I like Brisbane next week.

Leaving the ground me and my friend copped some verbal abuse from the Collingwood supporters but it wasn't anything we hadn't heard before or wouldn't of said had Adelaide won.

The train coming back to Adelaide was very quiet and to top it off left melbourne close to an hour later than it was supposed to.

Adelaide will be back next year and the addition of Wayne Carey will be a huge plus in the forward line which at times has struggled.

At small consalation is that Port didn't win and I cashed my other bet. (Note: If you don't know a majorty of Adelaide supporters hate Port supporters with as much as passion as melbourne people hate Collingwood.)
