.......the struggle continues... Season to date 33-32

Not alot jumping out at me this week. I do like the Brisbane -10.5 v Hawthorn line. Still not sold on the Hawks recent form. Brisbane too good to let this game slip.

My Pawamech system has two eligible selections and at 18-10 I'm not about to ignore them!!!
The first is Collingwood ML v West Coast Now this goes against my riding of the western teams when playing at home so I'm not happy about throwing a few on the Magpies!!! But I must obey
The second is Melbourne +26.5 v Port Adelaide Now this one I do like for a cool 20% of the kitty which reached double (200%) for the first time last week.

Consider Essendon, Sydney, Geelong and Kangaroos in any form of multi

Good luck this week PAW....(Actually I don't really mean that as we have some differing oppinions it seems  )

Out of 17 travelling interstate favourites, only 8 have won and only 5 have covered the spread!
(Port over Freo, Bris. over Sydney, Bris over Richmond, Port over St. Kilda!)...as you can see, not overly convincing there!

And while Essendon and Geelong definately should win, they are both terribly under priced....In fact I see some value playing against both! (But probably won't  )

I doubt very much whether Fletcher will play for Essendon as he hasn't trained for 2 weeks......Knights' last game for Richmond....Fiora's a good inclusion for the Tigers as Ess. midfield lacks speed IMO.....

I may be stupid and way off the mark, but I give Richmond a sneaky chance here at big odds

This loks like being a bad week for one of us :(

(You've really got me worried about that Mech of yours!)

edited to change away fav stats....Not as bad as I first thought

Have to agree with MrChristo - Richmond way over the odds. Essendon are really struggling and the Tigers have a good inclusion in the form of King (tough in and under player). The market seems to be pricing up the Bombers on 2000/01 form. Ottens will dominate.

Listen guys....

I'm not touching tonights Richmond v Essendon line. The tigers have burnt me two weeks running when offered big points start. They are seriously one shocking football team!!!:D
Essendon will win this game (the margin irrelevant) and go back into the top eight where they belong, make no doubts about that. If you wish to flush your hard earned on Richmond...so be it. They wont' get me again!! :moon:

As for the mechanical system, I too don't always agree with it but it has picked some winners that I wouldn't have given any chance to. It is currently running at 64% while my own plays are running at only 50.7%. It has multiplied its starting balance 3 to 4 fold every year for the last 5 researched years. This year is the first time I have applied it and it is earning its keep!!

Good luck fellas

Oh....and by the way MrC......Your Bulldogs are going down mate!!

Essendon will win this game

Well....I'd love to say you're a genius, but I can't possibly.

Essendon sneak home in the THE worst game of AFL ever......EVER !!!

One point..........Essendon are definate fades for the rest of the year!

Sorry, PAW...the top 8 is no place for the Bombers :nono:

As for my Doggies....Agree completely

Damn PAW....missed the sweep, but still a decent weekend ;)

I had Hawthorn to win  ....Thought they would have too much run for the Brissy middle, but was WAY off!!

I also took Port -22.5 earlier in the week, but bought back Melbourne +25.5 when I knew it would be raining.....Looking good for the middle until about 5 minutes out

I think the Kanga's are good things today, and are as much as 1.95!!

With wet and slippery conditions about in Melbourne, I'm tempted to take the Crows + the points....

I have taken a sneaky double at Centrebet:

Bulldogs more marks than Kangaroos...
Freo more disposals than St. Kilda...paying 2.50ish....like it a lot ;)

Brisbane far too good for Hawthorn as expected to take the miserable tally to 34-32 for the season.

Mech system went 1-1 with West Coast (once again) seeing off the challenge of another out of state team in Collingwood. As I stated earlier, I wasn't happy about going against that formidible home record this season. Just remember this folks - Take West Coast at home against ANYONE ;)
The mech win came with Melbourne who after being down by a fair few early in the first term actually stormed home to hit the lead late in the last quarter only to be pipped at the post. The spread was covered and the new tally comes to 19-11 and a new bank of 187%.

MrC and Beast2....we were all way off with the Kangas today!!!

Wipe that smile off ya face MrC!!:thefinger

Catch......

Sons of the West,
Red, white and blue.
We'll come out snarling,
Bulldogs through and through....Wadda we sing!!!!!

Yep...Almost worth losing some cash to see that performance....Certainly much better than I had even hoped!

Some profit was still made on the day with my 'exoctic' double, so all in all, a bloody great day :D :D :D

Looks some good games already for next week.....Let's all try and have a good one ;)
