I think they're both tough to pick. You have Izzo's Spartans pulling off nice wins over Northern Iowa and Tennessee, but Butler beat Syracuse and Kansas State. In each game, they thoroughly disrupted the higher seeds offense. Michigan State played an amazing game vs. the Vols, but I think Tennessee would have won if Prince didn't get in foul trouble.

Butler will have the home crowd feeling and will be trying to become the first mid-major since Larry Bird and Indiana State to make the Final game. Doesn't it only seem fitting this would happen in Indiana, home of the movie Hoosiers?

Butler -1 for 10*
Butler 1st half -.5 for 5*

I see Butler squeezing out a close win as their guards disrupt Michigan State and the crowd becomes a factor.

West Virginia vs. Duke is a little trickier IMHO. However, the one factor backing the Blue Devils is Coach K has 3 titles and Huggins has still never made the Championship game. Duke also has a great perimeter game and they play great perimeter defense. My biggest concern in backing the Blue Devils is West Virginia is more athletic. However, having Bryant likely not play will hurt the Mountaineers on Saturday IMHO. I also think Singler will play much better than he did against Baylor and Smith and Scheyer should have good games. Duke grinds out a close win.

Duke -1 (-130) for 10*
Still waiting on the 1st half as I believe this number could go down.

I'm making the WV/Duke 1st half under my play of the day.

And don't worry; that's my own pick. Brandon doesn't even know I'm on here.

Oh, and yes, I DO like beer :toast:

I stand corrected on my mid-majors as UNLV would have been considered a mid-major when they beat Duke like a red headed step child in 1990 I believe.

Memphis also lost as a mid-major in 2008. Guess it happens more often than I suspected, but go Butler and I hate to say it, but go Duke!

Duke 1st half -1.5 (-105) for 7* - Thought this line would go down, but it hasn't.

Make Butler 1st half -.5 for 7* total as well.

I hope the books get crushed today as nearly everyone on this board is backing the chalk.
