great picks JT, I like the over in the game even at 12.5. KC's Steins has a seaso ERA of 6.59, and in the last 3 games its 7.71. TX Davis is even worse, with a season ERA of 7.00 and the last three games at 9.88. The teams are a combined 8-3 in overs when these two pitcher start for their teams.

Want to throw out some analysis on the two early games before finishing my trifecta with the stro's and the pads....

Oakland -1.5 -140

When I saw the price on the run line that deep I thought long and hard about backing the rays plus the runs and the money, but there is a good reason it is that high.

First some quick trends.....

Devil Rays = 4-19 vs Oakland last 23 games
7-21 last 28 games
6-17 last 23 road games vs AL West
3-9 last 12 road games
3-9 in 3rd game of a road trip last 12 times
0-6 on Thursday this season

ATHLETICS = 1-3 last 4 games
11-3 @ home vs Tampa Bay last 14 games
7-1 last 8 home games
5-0 on Wednesday last 5 times
6-1 in the last seven meetings.
10-3 in their last 13 home starts

Also broke down ,( much like yesterday), the A's dominance against the Rays is legendary.....

Last eleven overall vs. the Rays:
A's are 8-3, and in those eight wins they have outscored the Rays by a score of 78-13, out of those eight wins, four of them were at Oakland and the total score in those games: 41-3.....

Now a breakdown of the pitchers and the umpire for the A / D-Ray matchup:

Hudson Vs. Wilson

It's no surprise that Hudson is pretty good and wilson is not so good, so let me compare top the run line....

Wilson
This guy is horrible, era over seven the rays are 2-9 when he starts a ball game and the rays average giving him four runs in supports while he gives up seven....He is 2-8 in his last ten, and in those eight losses they lost by two in every game except one. Against Oak he is 0-2 in his last two starts, both of the L's were also run line losers, and at Oakland he lost 11-0.

Hudson
He is 7-3 in his last ten and four of those seven covered the run line, and the ones that didn't were aginst solid teams, twins, yankees, and toronto..He is 3-0 in his last three against the Rays and all of those W's covered the run line and the one at Oakland he won 10-0, and pitched a complete game.

Finally behind the plate:
Greg Gibson
In his last ten overall the home team is only 5-5, but every home team that won all won by at least two runs....

He has been behind the plate twice for the D-rays and they are 1-1, and the loss was by two runs, and even when they won they were at home, and as the home team the covered the run line......

He was behind home plate once for the A's and you guessed they were at home and covered the run line.....

It looks as though I beat this horse enough...
