Want to get some discussion on the Spo's and Cubs games going to try and make a quick buck this afternoon........

I am getting Married this weekend and will be done for the week after 5 today!!!

Just wanted to thank all the great cappers here for their insight--I follow every day.

I am thinking Expos -160

Cubs/Crew???????

Looks like a good call to me. Expos should roll behind Vazquez and the in cubs game the scoreboard is going to have alot of crooked numbers on it! I hope you are ready for your bachelor party it is going to be a great time!! See you tomorrow!!

Numbers Crunch:

Vazquez (1-3, 5.81 ERA) last 5 starts
Wells has allowed 3 earned runs or less in 10 of 13 starts

Vazquez (3-3, 5.07 ERA) vs Pittsburgh
Wells (1-1, 3.71 ERA) vs Montreal

Montreal 5-5 with today's home plate umpire (Vazquez 2-0)
Pittsburgh 4-6 (Wells 0-0)
Ump favors home team 9-7

Based on these numbers, Montreal at $1.60 is a lot of chalk. Don't you think the Juan Gonzalez trade situation might distract the Expos? Pittsburgh gets our money today. Good luck!

Cubs Over/Under at 11--seems a little steep with Sheets on the mound??

Read the wind is Blowing out to Dead Center at 10-15--is that the reason why so high?

cubs/brewers...

trying to find the gorund ball to fly ball ratio with these pitchers...the total set at a high number suggests some wind blowing out...i know estes induces a lot of grounders when he is on....but his curveball was non-existent in his last start .....that is a vital pitch for him from what i have seen ...if he gets that over for strikes he is very effective...if he struggles with his curve his control is usually terrible and he starts grooving pitches to get them near the strike zone....his numbers in day games this year are not good....what worries me here is the brewers tendency to struggle vs lefties....sometimes they can make the worst lefties look terrific...ESTES over all numbers vs this team are pretty good...and from what i saw from the brewers vs the REDSOX this year..is that they are very free swingers...they dont have much patience at the plate...This can be a double edge sword today....it could help ESTES if he struggling to get out of jams and reduce the factor of his wildness....

SHEETS is a pretty good pitcher on a bad team.....he will give up 2-4 runs today according to my numbers ...he will give up a gopher ball here and there...thats what concerns me here as well...if the wind is blowing out...the cubs have much better long ball hitters in ALOU/SOSA/PATTERSON and KARROS ..i say Karros because he has sensational numbers vs sheets...



PITT/MONTREAL...

montreal simply a different team at home than on the road.....but im not layinfg over 150 on them when thier offense can go into hibernation on occassions.....Wells is capable of pitching a good game....so is Vasquez...pitts bullpen is not good i dont care what thier numbers are..i have seen this pen blow a number of games this year ...i dont trust them at all...but its the dog or nothing in this matchup the juice is too high against a pitcher who is capable of shutting montreal down..
