I'm not going to bash Barnett for his decision to punt on 4-1 with 2:30 to go, however I will bash him for:
1) Throwing the ball, deep downfield, on second down, with 2:45 to go. WHY????? Run the ball, LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN THE ENTIRE HALF get 2-4 yards (maybe more) and either take 40-50 seconds off the clock or force Wisconsin to burn their final timeout.
2) Running a sweep on 3rd and 8 with 2:40 to go and allowing the chance that you're moron RB will go out of bounds, (which he did) and again not forcing Wisconsin to burn their final timeout.
Had they taken two knees on those two plays there is 1:45 to go and Wisc has 0 timeouts. Instead they had 2:35 and 1 TO, nice clock mgmt.
3) Why did he continue to blitz on that last drive. EVERYTIME he sent extra men to rush the passer Wisc picked up the blitz and Bollinger had men (his 2-3 in the route) wide open. Both 4th down plays and another play where Bollinger missed a TD (ORR dropped pass)
TERRIBLE caoching moves from a notorious TERRIBLE coach.
Also was the starting QB hurt???? I don't think he was...then when Brown went out why didn't he insert his starting QB back into the game to provide an offensive option in OT. He had 2 starting OL out and his starting RB out and he sticks with his b/up QB who provided some nice handoffs and completed about as many passes as I did sitting on my couch.
THESE COACHES MAKE WAY TOO MUCH MONEY, PUT IN TOO MANY HOURS AND HAVE NO CONCEPT OF CLOCK MGMT AND BASIC STRATEGY ON GAMEDAY.....
BTW-I didn't have a bet on the game so this is not sour grapes, just my perspective
