Two rivals here that really dislike one another. Don't be shocked to see it get a little chippy out there.
I'm convinced that Akron is the better team but they will be running into a very hostile environment. The game means much more to OU than the Zips for seeding purposes and they have a knack for playing their best going into the conf tourney.
I attended the first game between the two and made some observations. OU's plan was obvious, to try to take Marshall out of the game with very physical play. The problem with that is that the officiating crew caught every hold , elbow and shove that they applied. Not so sure that the Zips get those calls tonight.
The real edge that I see is a first half play. I'm not going to do so but if you would look you would be really surprised by how many games Akron has trailed at the half and came back to win. For what ever reason they have become notorious for slow starts. This could be quite a problem tonight because I suspect the Bobkittens will come out blazing and prepared to give Akron their best shot.
Going: OU -2' FH for 12 units.
