Akron U Update

Senior point guard Johnny Hollingsworth has been removed from the team for academic reasons. He and leading scorer Derick Tarver were suspended for the Drake game last saturday and both were told to get their shit together (attend class for starters) or their playing days are over. Tarver responded, and will play today.

Starting today at the point will be freshman Dru Joyce. Dru can score, but falls far behind Hollingsworth in all other areas of the game.

Pinnacle hung a 7' on Kent as an opener, but it has fallen to 6 at last look.

I am leaning towards Kent in this game after that loss to Buffalo.

Tough call, How will Kent respond after blowout in Buffalo? Thought the opening line was a few too many points, but it seems to be falling to a much tighter number. I would not be suprised to see it rise again slightly as a reaction to the suspension of Hollingsworth.
