Alabama's Defense Best of All Time????

Please stop and consider that maybe, just maybe, the competition this year in the SEC was not as good as it has been in the recent past. While Bama's D may statistically appear to be the best all-time, maybe these statistics were generated against inferior opponents.

For example:

Florida's QB - awful
Auburn's QB - awful
Miss State's QB - awful
LSU's QB - awful
Georgia's QB - awful
Texas AM QB - awful
Tenn QB - awful
Ole Miss QB - pump the breaks. The only QB faced by Bama's D who has a chance at playing at the next level. Was at Clemson, got beat out by Watson, and threw temper tantrum and thrown off the team. Ole Miss hung 43 on Bama's D.

How about we wait until the season is over before we crown this D the best of all time. It does matter the competition you face. I guess last years Bama's D was garbage. Where did that D finish the season ranked statistically?

The best Offense Bama will have season all season by a country mile is coming to Tampa.

How about adding into the equation that this is probably the worst offensive team that Alabama has had under Saban? So many times people just look at one side of the ball. Having a poor offense effects the defense just as much as a poor defense can affect the offense.

Best defense of all-time will always go to the Miami team that lost to OSU. Pro-careers proved that.

Bama will be fine in this spot, matter of fact i love them in this spot...They avg 38 points a game Clemson avg 38 points a game with a stronger SOS edge to Alabama...But the BIG glaring diff is on defense...Ala has Clemson crushed in most defensive categories ...Bama has 15 TD's defensibly and special teams...THINK ABOUT THAT....And if you think their defense is the same as last yr you are sadly mistaken because this yrs defense is faster and deeper...Fading Saban in spots like this is not a winning proposition ....Watch #56 he will give Watson nightmares all night long , he can not be blocked...Going to be a good one boys so buckle up and enjoy...

Is the the same offense that got beat by Pittsburgh??or the one who NC state kicker went brain dead from the 7 yard line ,or the one that Auburn played with toe to toe?

Chip , are you a Clemson man ? I find it odd you are up at 630 on a Thursday morning ragging on Alabama's D ? And if Clemson wins that's cool ! Bama will just go home and polish their other 16 trophies ... Good luck !

No,,,You were just acting as if Clemson was throwing their helmets on the field and win 670-2 only because Watson decided to run backwards 99 yards and no one from Bama could catch him,,Clemson may very well win,,,,But Bama at least going to show up and try,,,Pitiful team and coach and all,,, BUT,,am impressed with your remembering Mount Cody,,You obviously know your stuff about Bama,,It was against Tennessee,,,,
