Box,
I went years ago. You could feasibly be there for the salmon staging for the run. If so I wouldn't pass up the chance to charter a fishing trip. I went for halibut because salmon weren't there yet. Was incredible. Saw humpback and orca. We did most our own sightseeing as many of the towns like Haines are small. Hiked a lot and went on a train tour to a mining town in Skagway. That was fun. You will see the glacier just fine from the ship. It's a beautiful cruise but not a lot of excursions for us. Sorry

Oh and one more thing, if you have American money that you want to convert to Canadian, exchange it at one of the Vancouver casinos, you will get the best rate at those Casinos, they give the best rates because they want you to gamble it away.

kickserv = helpful travel tip

This casino is right in the heart of the city.......

Landmark is about 3km (1.86 miles) away from Edgewater casino.

Oh and Stanley Park is beautiful, your wife will enjoy the scenery.

By the way box, not sure if you are aware of this, Vancouver is an expensive city, it ain't cheap to do anything there. Just a heads up.

Box, always good to get and update and glad to hear you're doing well. Be sure to check in when you return. Alaska cruise sounds like a lot of fun. Hope you see some whales and other exciting wildlife.
Enjoy it and happy anniversary to you and the wife!
