Not bad from a 10 year deal to a 7 year deal, go to glamorous Hollywierd and get one of the most famed programs in the US!

Luckily he hired Craig Neal, who is reportedly going to take over for NM, so Steve will need a new RC possibly.

I liked Steve better at Missouri St to be honest.

Just don't recruit slow afoot players like he had at NM, Iowa and Mo State and he should be fine!

Worked all of his camps at SW Missouri St. And Manchester. Great guy, got to know him well. I think he will do well.

Wasn't he annoyed with the scrutiny and the pressures of the Iowa job? What does he think its going to be like at UCLA? I do think he is a good coach though.

Alford is different-great family man--can be a loner--many in Iowa thought of him as standoffish-rich country club dude. I agree with some of what you said Poon. Obvious Reds and I disagree. If he wins he will be ok--if not---
