I have never understood how this became a political topic with Republicans on one side and Democrats on the other (for the most part). Isn't it simply interpreting the Constitution as to when someone being born in this country is granted their Constitutional rights? (Haskell - correct me if I'm misguided here) The Pro-Choice argument sides with the pregnant woman's rights over the baby's (because they are not born they technically do not have rights yet) and the Pro-Life argument sides with a baby already having individual rights. Then you can add in WHEN during the pregnancy do they have their rights, and that is where it really gets out of whack.

I can see how a religious line can be drawn on this subject, but I just don't get the political line.
