can oil be the reason why the u.s. & great britain avoid confronting the saudi's ?

From the July 9, 2005 New York Post: Great

Britain will have to get tougher with Saudi Arabia.
by Stephen Schwartz

07/12/2005 12:00:00 AM

A GROUP calling itself "the Secret Group of al Qaeda's Jihad in Europe" has claimed "credit" for Thursday's deadly bombings in London. Some refer to the perpetrators of this latest horror as "an unknown group." But there is nothing mysterious about the background of the London atrocities.

First, and foremost, there is nothing secret, unknown, or hidden about the prime source of financing for the terrorists: Saudi Arabia.

As the leading Saudi human-rights activist, Ali al-Ahmed, of the Washington-based Saudi Institute, puts it, "all the roads lead to Riyadh."

The Saudi kingdom continues to channel money and recruits to terror operations in Iraq and everywhere else that al Qaeda, its allies, its imitators, and other supporters strike. Saudi clerics, devotees of the cult known to its critics as Wahhabism, continue to preach jihad against the world, targeting non-Wahhabi Muslims as well as non-Muslims.

Our own country has taken significant steps to curb the Saudi dedication to Wahhabi terrorism, but a great deal more remains to be done.

When she visited the desert kingdom not long ago, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice correctly protested against the repression imposed on democratic dissidents in that country. But she drew back from calling directly for major changes in Saudi Arabia, such as purging the educational system and state-run media of extremism and cutting off the Wahhabi clerics from state funding.

Paradoxically, Britain, although gallantly committed to the war against terrorism in Iraq, has fallen short of the United States in its investigative and judicial response to Islamist terrorism.

The existence of a larger and more openly radical "Wahhabi lobby" in British Islam has led London to greater caution rather than vigilance and severity in dealing with the enemy. Not only is there no British Guantanamo, the Blair government actually intervened to get our military to release five of nine British subjects from the camp in Cuba.

Yet Britain has much greater problems with radical Islam inside its borders than the United States has. Only two weeks ago, British newspapers reported that dozens of Muslims from the United Kingdom had gone to Iraq to participate in the terrorist campaign there. (By the way, the majority of the murderers whose ranks they joined are Saudis.)

The bulk of British Muslims are Pakistanis and Arabs. While many members of both ethnic groups are peaceful, loyal residents of the country, their mosques have long been dominated by Saudi-funded radical rhetoric--and open recruiting for jihad and paramilitary activities. Although it is seldom noted in Western media, Pakistan remains the No. 1 frontline state after Iraq, in terms of bloodshed between Wahhabi-inspired extremists and other Muslims.

There is no puzzle in the dissimulation practiced by most European governments about Islamist extremism: Europe has a history of preferring peace to freedom.

Most European leaders--Britain's Tony Blair being the outstanding exception--would rather arrive at an accommodation with the terrorists than defend the freedoms under attack by violent fanatics. In this, they follow the pattern set during the 1930s, when Europeans preferred peace with and submission to Nazism in place of early and consequential resistance.

A devotion to peace over freedom is also reflected in the common clich?, heard on our shores as well as abroad, that fighting terrorism in Iraq simply breeds more terrorists. Well, opposition to Hitler led the Nazis to recruit more countries and peoples to their cause but only in the short term. Major conflicts always produce serious opposition; that is why they are called wars and not misunderstandings.

Nazism and Japanese imperialism vanished as threats once they were significantly defeated; fighting them did not strengthen them, once the real battle was joined. But inflicting an authentic defeat on the terrorist enemy means carrying the struggle to its heartland in the Middle East.

The answer to the crime of London will come in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and other countries where Islamist extremism perverts the Muslim mind, and it will come through force no less than reason. There is no other path.

We should of invaded Saudi Arabia way before we ever went into Iraq on false pretenses on a cooked up story that changes reasoning each week for the invasion of Iraq. The head of terrorism on a global scale has been and still is Saudi Arabia and we can pussyfoot around about other countries such as Iran but until the head is cut off the serpent the global terrorism is going to continue and multiply. The funding, the leaders, the teaching of hate always seems to have it's roots in Saudi Arabia, yet we continue to bury our heads in the sand and act as though this is just not true.

we need the oil.....bottom line....

not just the big oil companies...."we" LITERALLY need the oil....

isn`t that why we have to tiptoe around the whole terrorism issue?...appease the middle eastern countries that feign alliance with us....that we have nothing in common with...

their values are so far remoived from our own...and the rest of the west...including native europeans...... that they may as well be from mars...

...of course we have to consider israel...the only democracy in the region...

but don`t we walk the tightrope of feigning our own interest in the middle east because we need the oil?...

don`t we shudder at the thought of these dictators and theocracies getting a nuclear weapon and ruining the whole region and the world`s economy?....

because once it happens,it`s done...for possibly decades...

take oil out of the equation....what do you have?....generations of hatred, abuse, tribalism, beheading, dictatorship, radicalism, slaughter, intolerance of anyone else........

why not just extricate ourselves from this morass?....

because we are the greatest industrialized country in the world....and oil is our lifes blood....

why worry about saddam?...iran....any of it..

the oil..

and don`t for a second underestimate what the oil means to this country....

if it stops...or is interrupted,we`re toast...

the really odd thing is that the saudi royal family ceases to exist if we withdraw our support...

a very strange...very ugly symbiotic relationship...

and now, saudi arabia is doing mucho business with china....

saudi houses about 1/4 of the world`s oil reserves...

we have pressured them on their policies regarding terror and other issues....they don`t like it...we have moved some of out military out of saudi arabia into qatar...

china, which has provided iran and saudi arabia with military technology...including nuclear technology and raw materials in iran`s case...has,i believe become the number 2 oil consumer in the world...

they have manpower to burn.....and an economy that is growing at a staggering pace...

they could take our place in saudi arabia...keeping the royal family in power....

we could reach the point in which the saudi`s no longer need us....and can becaome outwardly hostile toward us....instead of feigning alliance...

we are on a very slippery slope...we depend on china for so much of the material and the goods that we import...

saudi and the middle east for oil...

we could be challenged within the next decade or 2 by china..and their alliance with the middle east and n. korea...

things could get very dicey...

we have to find some alternative to oil...

we really have no choice..

I was pissed at Saudi before 9/11 and even more so after. The money they say follow it. Right through Saudi it went. Anyone thinks Saudis is are buddy I guess thinks China is to. So lets have a war in Iraq. Dam I'm glad I got that Chevy Monti Carlo 20/30 gallons per mile and gets every bit of it. Just took trip out west and averaged 30.4. Anyone want a SUV there given them away. So sad years ago when GM and Ford said we cant make the standard GPM government has asked for. Sure they can and did. Now they say the same to 3 miles more to the standard. A ton of gas that will save. We will go broke doing it GM and Ford say. Hell there doing a good job of doing that anyway. Saudi has to love GM and Ford. And who will do it. The Japanese. Instead of listing to the crying if our congress had any balls they would just make the law. And if we had any smarts to start with Iraq would not have been target #1 or#2. Maybe 4 or 5.

The whole world is ran by a secret society and has been for along time, forget the name and would spell it wrong anyway have a few books in the book case read about 4-5 years ago. Could look through it would take about 30 mins and don't feel like looking through 2 huge book cases, Jerri is the reader I only have about 30-40 books (most on the mob or things like these people and government cover-ups can you say area 51) in these monsters size oak cases think it is spelled bilderbaum group or close someone on here will know what I am talking about .Read the many books on them or do net search , they run the world from banking to oil To trade.

I really believe it just had way to much stuff in both books that were almost the same written a few years apart by different authors, 2 were by the same person. Then did some reading on the net after I read them and this was some very wired and frighting stuff, Very powerful people.

Then those who were ask if they belonged and was hard to catch up with a few just to ask, said they are a private social club is all who meets one time a year. This has been going on for a very long time from reading the books and reading on the net.

Almost every race in the world had someone who has been apart of it the so called social club for years. Very thought provoking and Led me to mistrust any form of feds or government anywhere in the world.

Someone will come up with the spelling or I will look on fri or sat, but i do believe these people really do run the whole world to a major extent.

Paranoid no but don't trust a so called private social club. All of the people who have been in it from the start are all major world players with some type of power. Big names and yes it goes back along time and has top fat cats and lady fat cats from all over the world not well represented by 3 rd world countries though except those rich in oil.

fletcher,

I think they're called the Bilderberg group, although not so secret...a lot has been written about em. Most folks just play that sort of talk off as crazy conspiracy stuff.

Was driving me nuts knew I would not sleep till I found one of the books, the name is Bilderburghs.

Lots of weird off the wall shit goes on at these so called private social club meetings and the security is unreal before these people get together.

Much more then any secret group would have, very high tech with lots of cash spent on keeping their so called get togethers private and yes secret but where there is a will there is a way and people have got away with enough info to write books and take pictures others have not been so lucky, were sent to find the time and place of the meetings never to be heard of or seen again. Almost like they disappeared off the face of the earth, IMO they did not disappear off the face of the earth just buried under it or sunk in it somewhere or maybe burnt to a crisp in a very hot oven.

You can do some searching on the web if you want ,Might raise the brow some. These powerful people are out there and have been and from what i have read I choose to believe they are the real people who run the world and have for a long time. The names might change but the agenda and their powerful long arm anywhere in the world has not.

Like I said call me crazy but I do believe it and so do many others, if it was just a fat cat private get together for many years why all the high tech security and missing people who either got to close to finding out more then they should or those who had enough to prove these are the rulers of the whole world, We might never now all the facts as I said some of the people investigating were never found again.

all due respect.....i don`t buy into all that conspiracy stuff...

in a world that is all but run by media...24 hour news channels...

you can`t even google a meaningful article on the group...

to many forces at work pulling in different directions...democrats...republicans...that hate one another so much...communist china....muslims....europe...
israel...

strange bedfellows to be sure...and no mention of the this dreaded group that runs the world?

sounds like the boogeyman for libertarians...

i haven`t read the info,though,to be fair....

can`t pull it up off the links provided,either...

anybody have anything that we can see?

o.k..i just read the article that ar1 provided....

sounds funny to me,actually....

"It is also claimed that they are the power behind the Masons, and every president of the United States for the last 150 years has been a mason except Ronald Reagon, who died last Saturday at the age of 93. All of this is said on many web sites, simply by typing in the word "Bilderberg" on search programs."

"You can find web sites that talk about the Bilderberg's being the founders of the Illuminate, worshipers of Satan, controllers of the leaders of the top 6 governments of the world, controllers of the World Bank, and the world monetary funds, etc. "

you guys saying that jimmy carter...friend to man...liberal good guy...and he actually is a very good man...good president?...debatable...but a true humaitarian...yes,i`d say he is...

he was aligned with this bunch?

john edwards was at this meeting?...why doesn`t any reporter ask him about this?....

has to be a pulitzer for any journalist that uncovers the group that runs the world...

obviously everyone`s entitled to their own opinion....and i respect that

but, this sounds way off the wall from here...

here`s a link....looks like the lefty`s that buy this stuff are aligning with good ole` pat robertson on this one...

this is a hoot....

http://www.livingston.net/wilkyjr/link26.htm

the american media is behind this "globalism"...

maybe i can get with that theory...it`s the media...i like that...

one second weasel says he doesn't buy into the conspiracy stuff, and the very next second he says the world is run by 24 hour news channels. ...i guess when you believe something, you don't consider it a conspiracy theory anymore.

Thanks Ryson will be reading that for next few days never saw that one before, I watch out for groups like all these. GW call me crazy like I said i don't trust many forms of fed gov. from any country more into the states rights and you have to admit this list of people you can go back years and see who has been there each year is not your everyday person like you and I and do make for strange bed partners.

I told you a few have got to close and were never seen again 2 reporters from Britain and 1 from Germany with in the last 10 years.

buy one of the books will give you the name of the one i thought had the most info and I look at things with a open mind i am with no party have said that for ever on here just on paper because being independent out here leaves you out of city and county voting on bonds and issues that effect me so on paper a am a repub. on paper only ,I vote for what and who I feel is best for me and my family.

But this group has been around for more then just a short time and not a fluke the people who show up from all over the world, and like i said from the books i read the security at these so called get together is top of the line better then most people get from their countries secret service or what ever they call it in other countries. But this is not some made up art bell story this is real and these are real people who don't let out what goes on and if you do get to close seems you are a no-show for rest of your life. Also back in early 70's and late 60's 5 other people trying to check them out were just wisk off the face of the earth.

I look at everything with a open mind and then form my own opinions from that, and have been following this group for a few years and have done research on them not like I just read one thing and said wow these people are bad and running the world , I did my work and do believe there is something up with them more then a social get together , hell check put the names of the people over the years there is a site where you can go back 30-40 years they are listed in the one book, you can do a web search and find out lot of things.

This is not like some one saying they were picked up by a ufo these are very real and very rich and powerful people. Not just some made up names.

Yes i said it is very off the wall in I think first statement about them and weird but before you laugh it off maybe you should dig some, something is up with them because you have people in same group who you would never think they would be in a so called social group together.

Have a open mind somewhat and dig around some you might be shocked and if it was a fraud would not be going on for this long and so many people would not try to find out more about what they really do as a group. Also like I said have been people just gone with the wind who must of found out more then they should of.

Just have a open mind which you do sometimes, this I thought you would look at with a open mind maybe.

Have a good day look into these people some go little deeper then just a small page i showed there are lot more info on them out there. Like I said this many people of money and power from all different races whom some would not even be in same room with each other if you would watch the TV news all but seems some how they are in their big group that 98% of the people in the world would never get a chance to even ask about them and be invited in. Very weird agree but has been around to long to be wrote off as a urban legend,
