After three years without a competitor on the high end, the SuperContest (with an entry fee of $1,500) is joined by the Golden Nugget?s ?Friday Football Showdown? (entry fee of $2,000...it was formerly an ?invitational? for touts, industry people and media). The Golden Nugget includes the option for players to use college sides (as well as totals in both college and pro) and is the only college offering besides the ?Last Man Standing? at Stations.

Here's the list:

Westgate SuperContest: $1,500 entry fee, limit two entries per person, pick 5 NFL games a week against the spread, last year had record 1,403 entries with $736,575 first-place prize (if there?s 1.905 entries this year, the champion will win more than $1 million), pays top 50 (up from 30 last year)

Golden Nugget?s Friday Football Showdown: $2,000 entry fee, starting the weekend of Sept. 11, contestants make 7 plays against the contest lines (NFL sides and totals, NCAA sides and totals all available) for eight weeks, at that point the top eight records advance to a round of 16 head-to-head bracket that takes place on the ?Las Vegas Sports Line? radio show on Fridays from 2-3 p.m. PT, the top 8 all win $2,000 (basically their entry fee paid back) and winners of each round win $1,000, the champion receives 75% of the remaining prize pool with the runner-up receiving 25%

Station Casinos' NFL Last Man Standing: survivor-type contest, $25 entry fee, buy 4 get 1 free, pick one game a week against the spread, lose and you're out, winner take all (or split if multiple people last entire season), guaranteed $75,000 prize pool

Station Casinos' College Last Man Standing: same as NFL contest, except using one game per week from list of college games, guaranteed $40,000 prize pool (bonus: if someone were to win both NFL and NCAA contest, they receive a $135,000 bonus for a cool quarter of a million dollars)

Those contests above must be entered before the season starts...these ones below also have season-long prizes, but they can also be entered any time during the season:

Station Casinos' Gridiron Glory Football Contest: free entry (formerly the Great Giveaway with a $25 entry fee and you could buy 2 get 1 free), pick all NFL games straight-up, weekly winner is guaranteed $10,000, also a postseason contest with $100,000 in prizes (you just have to play all 17 weeks to qualify...or score 2 touchdowns?see the kiosks for details on that one)

Boyd Gaming/Coast Casinos' Pick the Pros: free entry (more entries given to their higher rewards card players), pick all Sunday/Monday NFL games straight-up, $30,000 in weekly prizes

William Hill Pro Pick 'Em: $25 entry fee, buy 3 get 1 free, pick all Sunday/Monday NFL games straight-up, $13,000 in prizes every week, $20,000 to season-long champ

Aliante's Airin' It Out: $25 entry fee, buy 3 get 1 free, pick all Sunday/Monday NFL games straight-up, total prize money of $100,000 (smaller than the other contests, but this is a single-property operation as opposed to the others with multiple outlets), also has quarterly prizes (which helped me out when I cashed for $2,500 last year in Weeks 9-12)

Excited to be part of the Hilton Contest this season. I am free rolling from winnings last year & my buddy who has been in it the past few years flew out to Vegas last week, met our Proxy at Hilton and we are off and running.

Look out for Grateful Zamo!!

Week 1 went 3-2 and as long as I hit at least 3 a week I will be in the hunt early on- Wanted 4-1 as after first three games I was 3-0

Anyway- its a long grind!
