Hawaii should go undefeated this year. No question. They are that talented offensively. They can't stop offenses with big lines as they can run all over them and their corners are average at best. People are claiming that Hawaii will be this years Boise St. and deserves a BCS game if they win out. Probably true, and it probably will happen. They deserve to be a top ten football team right now. Just for posterity. There are 10 teams in the country that can beat them right now, but they've done all they can. LSU and the big boys and USC would drill this team by 3 touchdowns plus. But Hawaii would score on them. Makes them a fun team to watch. Obviously the problem with Hawaii is they don't get much national pub. Recently Colt was on ESPN mag and everyone got to be reminded of his drinking and driving. Not the best pub.

Sorry, I'm rambling. The one thing June Jones always does is run up the score when people are watching. This is a national telecast and many peoples first glimpse at this team....voters included. To get the BCS bid, he has to hop up about 10 places in the polls. And barely beating a crappy SJ St. team isn't going to cut it. He will try and run up the score and make it convincing. Their only other big game that is nationally televised is Boise at home at the end of the season. The time to make a statement is now. Of course doesn't mean it will happen, but they will try too.

Talent wise, this game is a mismatch offensively for Hawaii. Their mainland problems seem to be have solved for the short term. SJ St. will score, but not nearly as much or as often. The hook has been taken away, time to get down.

Hawaii - 17 -105 x 5
