and children and get down to some serious business.

Have been kissing my sister in the bowl games so far but time to get it cranked up and quit screwing around. I have three dogs for tomorrow...let me know your thoughts but you won't change my mind as I'm solid on these plays. But still want to hear your opinions!

Kansas State +7.5
Texas A&M +4
Alabama +2

This is a Rutgers team that has to be disappointed to be in a lower tier bowl. I believe it will be very hard for them to cover this spread much less win the game. K State will have the fan advantage in Texas and they are excited to be there as they had absolutely no bowl aspirations before the season. Rutgers offense is nothing special with inconsistent play at QB. Sure they have Ray Rice but a very bland offense and one that I think Kansas State will have success at stopping. Since the change at QB for Kansas State to Freeman, they have moved the ball better. Certainly the Wildcats have seen top competition from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisville, etc. I'm sorry Rutgers, but you don't go from a BCS bowl to the Texas Bowl without being disappointed.

Texas A&M brings the better defense, the better run game, more motivation...you name it. Cal was a big disappointment and hasn't covered a point spread since October 14th...barely squeaked by a hapless Stanford bunch and they are laying 4 to a team that lost three games by a combined 6 points (all bowl teams)?? The holiday bowl is known as the disappointment bowl for Pac 10 teams that don't care to be there. Cal will bring little motivation to this game as they are just another in a long line of Pac Ten teams that can't get excited about the trip to San Diego. Texas A&M outright.

Alabama/Oklahoma State...what kind of line is this? Oklahoma State laying 2? Give me a break. Alabama has played Florida, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Auburn and even a decent Hawaii team and held them to 17 points. They lost by 1 at Arkansas and three at Tennessee and should have won them both. They lost by 8 to Auburn in a game they outgained Auburn but had a turnover differential and gave Au 14 points. They held Arkansas to 17 in regulation, Florida to 28 (a late interception return for a TD was the only reason Florida got that many), they allowed 16 to Tennessee and 17 to Hawaii. The only team that really had their way with them was LSU but they had their way with just about everyone. Alabama only failed to cover one game as an underdog and I don't see any reason why they won't be motivated to play their ass off for their well-liked defensive coordinator Joe Kines. Oklahoma State ranks near the bottom in the country in total defense and near the bottom in pass defense. JP Wilson and Alabama's solid receivers should have a field day against this weak secondary. When you see defenses like LSu, Tenn, Auburn, Florida, etc. this will look like nothing. Sure, OSU has a nice offense but with a very solid defensive unit, I believe they will find it difficult against this stubborn Alabama defense. Oklahoma State's non-conference schedule was very weak with Arkansas State, SW Missouri State, Florida Atlantic...and the one decent OOC team they played was Houston and they lost by 9. The only defenses they will have seen close to this one was from Oklahoma and Texas and they scored 21 and 10 respectively in those games. More of the same as I think Alabama gets the win.

I'm with you on all 3. The Dogs will be barking today and don't forget that we are riding the 0-3 Pac ten trend so far. Good luck.

So Cal
A Rutgers team that is disappointed because they are in a lower tier bowl? Are you kidding? Sure they hoped for better, I hope that Vida Guerra will open my front door naked when I come home. But I know better. Rutgers is happy to play in this bowl game. They are not exactly perennial bowl game participants.
