I'm seeing MSU -10 to 10-

Thoughts?

:)

I knew this was coming, you know you guys have owned us lately. The spread looks about right to me Corley but it would be real hard for me to take Kentucky. Ky still real young, missing SEC caliber players at some positions. But the main thing I think State will be just to physical for the Cats, and we don't have good enough QB play to off set it. If Whitlow were playing, had bad ankle sprain against Alabama, I'd say we might have an outside chance to win, as long as your guys played a 'C' game or worse. I haven't heard an update on him but even if he plays I don't think he would be 100%. Smith is a good passer but not only can he not run a lick, he has trouble even side stepping a rush. Besides that he has a bum shoulder and a hard lick to the wrong spot could easily sideline him for no telling how long. Their trying to redshirt the 2 back ups but won't hesitate to play one or both of them if needed; I think their worst fear is not winning a conference game again this year, but things look dim. So they will going all out to win of course, but that may translate into nothing. I watched the State/LSU game, and in spite of the final score, I was really impressed with your guys. They were in the game for 3 to 3 & 1/2 quarters, and the yardage ended up about the same. I knew when I saw the game our chances of beating your guys would be slim. Mullen always has a good game plan for Ky and I expect him to just try and run it down our throats, and there's a good chance that could happen. Ky would have to play a near perfect game, and then hope State didn't, to even have a chance. I won't give up hope tho, I'm thinking about the over, if Kentucky can get 17-20 points State should easily take care of the rest.

You hit a lot of the same points I had written down... I don't see MSU being flat after the BG debacle and I think Mullen really opens it up with this game being on national television... Right now the way to beat MSU is through the air with all of the injuries and I'm not sure UK can expose that... MSU's front 7 is going to get after the QB and try to make UK one dimensional... My guess is MSU 38 UK 14

I hope we make a better showing than that, but that (score) sounds about right regardless of what I crunched up. State sacked Mett several times when you all played LSU, so it doesn't look good for the Ky QBs, no matter who it is, although Whitlow can scramble out of trouble. First question I would ask myself if considering playing this game, can Whitlow go. If he isn't playing, just load up on your boys!, not that Ky would cover anyway, which I seriously doubt. Good luck Corley, I'll wait til next year, maybe we will have a better shot then. Have a shot of crown for me and enjoy the game!

I'll have a handle of Crown Black!

UK is recruiting well and he is building the makings of a good team. UK will be good in a few years when the young talent develops.

Great, you guys have fun at the game. If Ky can keep recruiting like they are now, they should be able to get back to a bowl in a year or two, I've been real impressed with this coaching staff, it's just going to take some time.

You have to build depth and I'm not sure UK has it just yet. Ole Miss doesn't have the depth just yet, and although they got a big win over LSU, the injuries are really starting to add up.

Injuries, just look what they did to a good Georgia team. Luck (with injuries) and timing has a lot to do with winning. Sometimes teams can play just to brutal of a schedule, and it usually takes its toll.

Meant to mention last night, to show the value of Whitlow to Kentucky. The only game he played the whole game was against S Carolina, and that was probably their best game. But Clowney wasn't playing and after jumping to big halftime lead SC may have relaxed a little bit. Other than the Alabama game, Kentucky has played fairly respectable against some pretty rough teams. But the last 4 games have taken their toll some; against Alabama 3 defensive starters were wearing casts, and DE Bud Dupre, probably their best defender, was out against Alabama. But the stretch of Louisville, Florida, S Carolina, & Alabama did beat them up a bit, so they definitely needed an open date.

One last thing Corley. Kentucky has tended to start slow, that could have something to do with the competition they've played though. But with the exception of Alabama, they have played a lot better in the 2nd half. Was down 21-7 to Florida first half, got out scored 3-0 2nd half. Was down 24-7 to S Carolina first half, but out scored them 21-11 2nd half. I don't know if the coaches make good half time adjustments or what. Just thought I'd throw that in.
