If I asked you to list which coll football teams qualify as having an edge by playing home gms at altitude, who would they be?

I have a pretty good idea on my list. Couple teams I'm not quite sure what their official altitude is.

Thx for any contributions. I'll check in soon.

Wyoming stadium's is the highest at 7100 ft- basically any team in the Rockies region will have some altitude.

Situation is going to dictate edges, though. If an altitude team has been home for a couple of weeks versus a team that has been on the road consecutively or played a physical game the week before, then the altitude becomes much more of a factor.

Wind also many times will play a factor in these high altitude venues. Hence, an altitude team with a good rushing offense is a team to look at when the winds are whipping up in the mountains.

Real good info, S-Love. Valid points.

How many feet above sea level would constitute a significant altitude factor? 3900?

I'd say the following teams definitely have an altitude factor:
Air Force: 5000 ft
BYU: 4300
Colo: 5800
Col St: 5400
Nevada-Reno: 4500
Utah: 4400
Utah St: 4500
Wyom: 7100

Some of those #s may be off a bit, but that's what I found.

Would the following teams be considered hi-altitude?...
BoiseSt?
New Mexico: 4000?
New Mex St: 3900?

Thx, guys. Catch u later.

Your call, Anders. Don't take the plunge, if you're not comfortable with it. That's for sure.
