I made a pretty largescale wager on Colorado tongiht ML (5 Units) and now I am starting to think im an idiot... I just read Helton is out (can anvbody confirm that?) a bunch of other factors are telling me Detroit will prob take this one...The reason I thought this was sucah great bet is Chacon at -144 against Detroit seemed to good to be true, so I decided to hit it and hit it hard...What does everyone think??

I think anything in this business that seems too good to be true probably is. I would not lay that chalk on the road with a pitcher who game up 12 ER last time out, but that is just me.

depends how much is your usual unit ?

If u play one unit all games and this one is 5 units .. then idiot no matter which team ya betting on .. kiddin .. but u get the point.

As Nick said .. if it looks too good to be true .. it probably is ..

reminds me of the dialogue from Rounders "If you dont spot the sucker at the table in the first half an hour ... then YOU are the sucker"

regardless .. . I hope ya win . .. .

Toy,

I just read on Covers.com that Young is probably out tonight and Pena and Kingsgale are already out. I think im gonna stick, I really think Chacon proves everyone wrong about his interleauge inability to pitch. I mean, its not like he has to work to hard (against these dead detroit bats) to prove it...Lets go Rockies!!! LOL

Thanks and GL on ure picks tonight

"...Quo fas et gloria ducunt..."
just my two cents worth.

I don't know HOW the Rockies are even around -144 ???

I was hoping they'd be more around -120...??

Detroit has their BEST pitcher Cornejo out there who's 3 - 3 with an ERA around 3.11 ?????

Detroit's been playing better of late....but Colorado has proven they SUCK on the road in ANY season, i mean 8 - 24.....?????

detroit's team record with cornejo pitching is 5 - 7 which shows thet have a 50 / 50 chance of winning this game....ALMOST. ;)

good luck tonite.

Rockies were too pricey for me,
but I still pegged them at about 62% (+/-) to take this one.
Rocks bats picking it up vs righties,
and Cornejo's good #'s are mostly due to him facing chit in virtually every start he's had.

Don't lose hope.

Thanks Extrapolater,
I was thinking even if Chacon pitched half as bad as he did last time, this showdown will come down to whose bats are hottest, and with Young out, Col def seems liek the better pick.

Thanks for the info
