There's no such thing as good Italian food at a chain restaurant.

I would tend to agree.

though I haven't eaten at many of these.

Mom Pop Italian hole in walls are usually the best..

We had one at Ocean View in Norfolk ..

Was located right next door to the amusement park[the one featured in Roller Coaster since destroyed for condo's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollercoaster_(1977_film)

Would go in there and it was like an out of body experience every friggin time..

Exactly. We have a few here.

I think every city has a section called "Little Italy" (we have one here) and you can't go wrong in any of the locally owned places.

Morris we ate at Mama's Italian Kitchen [yeah that's right] so often that me and the boys[yeah my car ..my gas..but my buddies] would walk in and Mama would ask us how many Pizzas for appetizers before we could even get to the table she kept open for 5 or more back of the joint so we wouldn't disturb the families eating closer to the front door....We always left a great tip and had bread and butter waiting for us at the cash register when we paid up..

Holly molly were those good times...Wild women..roller coaster and "guess your weight station" next to the exit to the beach to burn another one..

We had a place called Oma's. The owners (3 brothers) spoke broken english and they made the best pizza in town. There was usually 6-8 of us hanging out and we would stop by this place 3-4 times a week late nite. We would order pizza and pass the hat at the end to pay. If you had it you would throw in a couple of bucks and if not you did next time. Some of those guys are still around and some not. Like you said good times!
