that`s lance armstrong.....had testicular cancer that metastisized(spread for those that haven`t had to deal with the disease)and was thought to have a very limited time left...the guy took his chemo,survived brain surgery,went through hell,and has fought his way back to being the primo cyclist in the world four years in a row...the french don`t like him(or american`s for that matter)and jeer him and chant "dop-ay"(doped)...he has passed all chemical testing...
for anybody who has had a family member fight cancer,this guy is the ultimate hero....he should be celebrated as one of the greatest american sportsmen in history....as a guy whose mother has survived three separate bouts with cancer,i am utterly in awe of armstrong and what he has accomplished...this guy is one of the most amazing athletes of our time and to me(as he should be to fellow americans and all other people)he is the ultimate inspiration....i hate to sound corny,but,in this case,i could care less.....bravo to lance armstrong and in the words of the late jim valvano,"never give up"..........

dont think it's corny at all- lost my father to cancer as armstrong was recovering from his, he is a true inspiration and the city of austin goes crazy for him, tour de lance shirts and signs all up over town showing support-
and he is always gracious and humble while giving interviews..he is definitely someone to admire in this age

this guy is a freak of nature, absolutely unbelievable..i tried to catch a little of the tour each day on the outdoor network--

Without doubt the Tour de France is the most brutal sporting event on earth. For Armstrong to go through what he has and come back to dominate in the way he has is quite astounding. He should be an inspiration to us all.
