I'm taking the Wiz at -1' for 1H over the Pacers tonight. I tend to believe this line moves up before tip in the morning.
The Wiz are doing a good job of jumping out on their opponents early in recent games.
The last 6 at 1H for the Wiz:
+10 vs. Atl
+12 vs. Clev<--Rip came back to allow MJ some rest
+0 vs. Det<--Wiz lost
+12 vs. Pho
-2 vs. Clev<--MJ buzzer beater saves the Wiz
+1 vs. Philly<--Wiz lost
-The Wiz and Pacers have met twice this year...with Indiana winning both rather convincingly.
110-103 on Nov. 22 at Indy
108-81 on Dec. 27 at Indy
*Both games AT Indy!!! Now it's time for some MJ homecook'n WITH a healthy Rip this time.....I think the Wiz will be ready tomorrow morning.
-The Wiz know the value of solid start on their part. They win when they break-out early and struggle if they don't (as indicated above).
-On Dec. 27 the Pacers had a +12 HT lead over the Rip-less Wiz. A game the Wiz went on to lose by 27 points!!
-I think MJ comes out on fire with the fade-away...hits it hard...then allows Rip to keep it going when he need a blow.
I just think it's a good spot here for MJ's Wiz and a very dangerous one for the Pacers coming off 2 wins and a loss over "WEAK" (NY, Memphis & Seattle) teams.
