schoenweis vs. abbott

these two pitchers are very much alike in their recent form:

they were both rocked in their last outing, and if we "forgive" it for both of them, we have them both pitching 29 innings in their previous 4, and allowing 7 earned runs, or an aver. of 2.2 per 9 innings.

they have both showed the resiliency of getting back up after a bad outing. so what to make of it?

once again, seattle is way overvalued here, especially since they are facing another lefthander, giving anaheim a slight edge which nullifies the home field advantage.

in my opinion, fair value for this game should be seattle -130, making a +170 a must play. fair value on the totals is around 7, making the under another attractive proposition.

6-5 overall, team is 9-5 in his starts

sea lose 3 in a row, at home ??

as you know, anything is possible. i disregard team trends, sweeps, avoiding sweeps, how many wins or losses in a row, etc. i look for pitcher vs. pitcher and the odds. is there good value? absolutely, lots of it, in my opinion.
