It is nearly impossible to make a living gambling on sports. No way to handicap the old "prevent" defense. Auburn defense shuts K.State's offense down for 55 minutes of a 60 minute game and let them score near the end cuz they are up by 13 and just want the clock to get used up and blow the cover.

Eh, Auburn were lucky to be up 13 because K-State threw away at the very minimum 6 gimme points earlier in the game.

Agreed. If you watched the game you would know that K St should have won straight up.

Auburn was lucky to even be in that spot.

aaaah the old "Team A should have won but they made mistakes" while ignoring the mistakes Team B made huh?

That's cute. Both teams played like shit and made a lot of mistakes. better team won

If any team gave anything away, it was KSU. They should have won the game outright. Three missed FG's, three turnovers, and a sure TD dropped.

I agree that the mistakes were made and are real. My main point was that this was not a "screw Job" or last minute fluke cover by K St in my opinion. For much of the game they looked like the better team (at least at home) and were the right side getting 7-8pts.

i wont say KSt SHOULD have won the game but they could have.

missed fg
missed fg
missed fg
pick in end zone

i thought KState outplayed Auburn in the first half, Auburn outplayed in the 2nd

a pickem game that Auburn found a way to win

Yea it definitely should not be classified as a backdoor cover by any means. KSU was the right side last night from the get go.

As I said in the other thread, 40+ yard field goals in college aren't gimmie points. People miss those a LOT. Ask Alabama.
Both teams dropped a TD pass that hit the player in the hands.
KSU had a bad turnover that gave us 3 points

And in the 4Q AU offense was rolling and IF, big IF, KSU would have not had these mistakes and been winning at that point, Our offense could have put another one in instead of kneeling.

"Right team covered as they should have" - yes

"KSU should have won straight up" - that's quite a stretch

Agree with both statements.

I used to think this too, but after lurking this site I was shocked to see how much cappers are able beat the house year after year. Technically if you were to follow their plays/units 100% and quit playing your own plays you could easily make a living doing this. But wait, weren't you the $ix figures guy? LOL

XP in college aren't a gimme

FG kickers should be recruited far more then they are

look how many games come down to one crucial kick, or a few missed opportunities in a game

ive never understood why coaches don't target the top HS kickers every year to sure up another spot......

college is all about mismatches....if you can guarantee a mismatch every game at the Kicker position, why not?

anyways, I think the game was just like it should have been.......

Auburn most likely the better team....most certainly on a neutral field.....

but Kstate is not far behind, even more so at home....

good game where I think the better team won by the right amount of points

You guys are missing the point of my post. I didn't even have a wager on the game. Regardless of what transpired in the game prior to that point (missed fgs, turnovers, etc.) there was no possible handicap that late K. State TD drive. If you know football, then you should of easily seen that coming. Teams that are up 9+ points late in the game get away from their sound defense and play soft to prevent the quick big play. Theyjujust want the clock to run, give up the score, and hope to recover the onside kick.

Your statement may have been more accurate if you'd said, "there was no possible handicap THAT I KNOW OF that late K. State TD.

AU recruits Kickers like a champ. Cody Parkey was cash money for 3 years. Graduated and went to Eagles and now we got the Mr Golden Boot of Alabama or whatever from this year and hopefully he's solid for 4 years. Hell Auburn has given schollies to deep snappers before... :142smilie
