Nebraska and Florida State!

Anybody who thinks this Nebraska team should be giving 22 points to ASU has completely lost it IMO! These Huskers simply don't have a quarterback with that much experience to give the other team 22 points before the game starts. ASU will give Nebraska all it can handle.

As for Florida State. . . well, I still believe they have a lot to prove before we all hand them the national championship like others on this forum are willing to do. Not as confident on taking the 22 points in this one as I am for Nebraska, but I'll certainly not take the Seminoles laying so much garbage for the first game against an Iowa State team that may be decent.

Lets also remember that margin of victory should not mean as much this year and head coaches know this. . . it could influence voters of course, but is not suppose to influence computer programs.

Hellah,

Thanks for asking. In my opinion, FSU hasn't proven anything to me (except yes they did have a great finish to last season). Rix is ok, but not a superstar yet everyone seems to just expect this kid to shine this year. That's the case for so many players on Florida State.

Carib has FSU's season win total at 11! In my opinion that is absolutely absurd and simply a reflection how cappers feel that team SHOULD progress from last season to this year.

Like I said though in my first post. . . I certainly do not believe that FSU is as overrated as Nebraska. . . but certainly not worthy of a top 5 ranking to start the year IMO.

I have said time and time again that I think FSU will go 13-0 and wint the national championship this year. Want to talk about coaching...IMO this is the best coached team in the nation. Mickey Andrews is the best damn defensive coordinator in D-1 football IMO. And Bowden...well he`s Bowden...anything less then excellent is shit to him. IAm not argiung with you that Rix is good or bad...personally i think he`s pretty darn good...but when Thad Busby and Danny Kannell and even Chris Weinke were all questioable QBs coming into there second season...well actually I take back Weinke but the rest including Charlie Ward...that first year does alot...getting killed by Miami...Florida...NCST...and on the ropes by UAB:eek: Rix made some bad decsisions last year, but I have confidence in him...that coaching staff is far beyind excellent. Speaking of 11 games...I played over 11 games :D

I didn't bet any futures, just b/c I don't like tying up $ that long. But was real close to taking that FlaSt ov 11. The way I see it, u have to use some historical perspective. The Noles have lost about 4 ACC gms in a decade. That translates to a very possible ACC sweep imo. They are currently listed as 12 and 16 pt favs vs Maryland and vs Clemson, respectively. So not saying it won't happen, but any loss in the ACC would certainly be a sizable upset.

Look at the rest of the schedule, and probably the 2 toughest gms are at Louisville and at MiamiFL. I actually think the Canes have a better than 50% chance of winning that gm, even if the Noles are the better team. Just basing that on how awesome the Canes have been in the Orange Bowl L2 yrs.

The way I see it, 11 wins is sort of the FLOOR for Nole wins. I'd really be stunned if they have 3+ regular season losses. Just have a hard time seeing that.
