Quiros is very much the home player in this matchup - he lives just a few minutes away from the course and has said in interview that he is at home practising, he will spend three out of every days at Valderrama. Maybe the pressure of being such a local player was too much last year as he opened with a 77, but he still only missed the cut by one shot and he should perform much better in the second staging of this event. He still finished ahead of Colsaerts last year and should do so again in 2011.

Joost Luiten to beat Richie Ramsay -110 @ Stan James
Opposing the first round leader who admittedly did produce a fantastic display of golf around a very difficult course, but he has never previously led a European Tour after either 18 or 54 holes; on the two occasions that he has led a European Tour event after 36 holes, he has shot 76 and 70 to drop to 14th and 4th respectively the next day. On such a difficult course, it will be a huge task to defend a lead for another 54 holes. Luiten will be disappointed that he finished the first round in 58th place, he has certainly bounce back for another top-10 finish - his form in the run-up to this event reads 15th, 6th, 3rd, 9th, 29th and 11th and he was also 5th in the inaugural event here last year.
