Boston v Washington
In his last 10 outings Rodriguez has give up more than two runs only twice, to the Yankees and Seattle. They Yankees lead the league in OPS vs lefty's and have a top 10 BA. Seattle is also top 10 in both OPS and BA against lefty's so it's understandable they might get to him.
Washington is 19th in OPS and 20th in BA against a lefty.
Pitching for Washington is Fedde who has got touched up for no less than 3 in each of his starts and didn't get past the 6th inning in any of them. Yes, two of those were against the Yankees, but one was against SD and two against Philly who is in the bottom half of the league in OPS and BA against RHP.
Boston, no slouch against RHP. They lead the league in BA and OPS against RHP.
SO, we have a decent LHP going against a team that doesn't do fantastic against LHP and a weak RHP going against the top team in MLB against RHP and it's only costing -130??
Something doesn't add up. Shouldn't this line be closer to -160 or so?
