Don't know squat about them, just want to copy DVD's that I rent, mostly for the kids who seem to be able to watch the same movie over and over and over and get really pissed when the one they want had to be returned. Anyway, what do I look for in a decent DVD burner and which software is the best t run it with?

Thanks

You can get a dvd writer for under 2 hundred bucks now a days. Look for one that does DVD + R/DVD - R/DVD + and - RW. And there's all kinds of software out there but the ones I use are DVD X-Copy and DVD X-Copy Xpress. If you decide you want the entire movie including special features, I would recommend using the X-Copy, but if all you're interested in is the feature film with the special features omitted, I would recommend the Xpress. Both software programs are sold together in the Gold Edition. Depending on sales, you can average out blank DVD discs anywhere from $1-$2 per disc, which is one hell of alot cheaper than pay 15-20 bucks for one. If you do this, you might want to set up an account with Netflix and rent your movies via mail. You can rent as many as you want and keep them as long as you want. Check it out at www.Netflix.com I usually copy about 15 movies a week. Best of luck.
