Yeah cause 23 home runs and 80 RBI's at 23/24 years old for less than $6 million a year is a bad deal :facepalm:
Why after 1 year do you give the guy a 7 yr deal? That is all I am saying.......What is the hurry?
So you can lock him in that price, have you seen the contracts around baseball? Every team would love to lock in a player like Rizzo at this price.
I know one game is a real large sample size for you, but Rizzo is going to improve from last year just wait and see.

They have one of the three best minor league systems now, Epstein has turned that area around in no time at all and he is a chump. :mj07::mj07:
The system is loaded with bats and will be able to use a Baez, Castro or Bryant for an ace when its time for them to go for it.

What team is going to want Castro? He is a head case, reminds me of a player the Braves had a couple of years ago Yunel Escobar...,.
Starlin is just 24 and Yunel was never near the level of Starlin.
He had an awful year but it was one year at age 23 not the end of the world.
Even if you can't move him for an ace you still have Baez, Bryant, Almora, Vogelbach, Soler, Alcantara, Canadlerio.
