Heading to Florida with the family. Want to do Disney World . Is is best (cheaper) to get tickets online now, or can I just buy them at the gate?

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
I was there a few years ago...

If you have a friend with Fla ID they got tickets at a good discount, resident.

Out of state visitors pay full price unless some kind of special is currently going on.

Cheapest decent kid food was at 50's style Hamburger Stand...at the park..

Enjoy, but bring lots of lettuce...

find a Florida resident to buy your tickets, right now they have a special for three days and two nights at a upper level resort, ticket to Disney, Universal and Epcot for $49 per day for each person.

so, my father in law is a floirda resident. If I have him buy the tickets and give them to us, will they card us at the gate for proof of residency?

Will Call tickets will be available for you to pick up at the Will Call windows at the entrance of the Theme Parks.
All you need to do is present your printed order confirmation along with your proof of Florida residency

The way I read it if you buy online and pick up at will-call you have to show proof. What I dont know is if there are other places to purchase tickets that will print them for you at the location of purchase. If you can find that then I am sure you could skirt the system.

Wife bought 2 one-day tickets to Disneyland for $89 this past summer through Ebay. The tickets did say need proof of residency, but the guy who sold us the tickets said don't worry about that. Sure enough, they did not check.

Ok. what about this? Say I show up at the Magic Kingdom gates with passes I recieved as a Christmas gift from the father in law. He purchased them as a Florida resident in Florida. They gonna deny our entry being Illinois residents? I mean , I dont see how they could.

Not a florida resident, but I can only assume that when one does buy a ticket they are informed they can not transfer ticket:shrug: another angle may be to offer to make up the difference if they do ask:shrug:
