6.5 is right on,its not to many..no way a rookie qb wins his 1st playoff game against a bellichek def..this is the best possible matcup for the pats, the previous denver wins mean nothing with cutler in there, except that the pats will run it up if they can

My friend is pondering flying to Vegas and laying $30,000 to win $10,000 on the NE moneyline assuming around a 3-1 ML...........

only problem is that a large wager placed like this is usually the kiss of death..........

Are you guys sure that NE and Denver will matchup in the first round of the playoffs?

The reason I'm asking is IF NE loses to the Titans on Sunday and the Jets, Denver and Indy all win then the Patriots would play the Jets in the opening round.

Because the Broncos have owned the Patriots over the years,:scared I think the Pats would rather play the Jets in round one and could accomplish that feat if they lose to the Titans on Sunday.

in your scenario the seedings stay as is...

indy
ne
den
nyj

for ne to play the jets

ne win + indy lose + den win + nyj win
or
ne win/lose + indy win/lose + den loss + nyj win

Denver owns the Pats

Cutler is only an improvement over Plummer who beat them the last 3 or 4 times...

It's the scheme, the fact Champ can cut the field in half on the Pats slow receivers, and Shanny is equal if not better than Billy Boy Bellicheck in the coaching dept.

Denver has to get by SF first and that's not a gimme...

Peter King says...

<<<All of a sudden, Jay Cutler looks like Elway Jr. Be worried, New England. Be very worried.>>>

id that the same peter king who had det winning the nfc north and the bears below .500 and the same guy who's been adamant about brees over lt as the mvp....the same guy who picks games at a .33 clip (and he's not using the spread)

i'd take what he says and go the other way every day when it comes to predictions
