My son has to answer 3 questions about a hormone called scrotonin and I cant find shit about it on the internet. I thought maybe he wrote it wrong and meant to research serotonin, but there is a hormone called scrotonin that has something to do with the pineal gland. I never thought a 7th grade science question would be so hard to find answers to, but here are the questions.
1. What does the hormone do?
The only info I could find is that is has something to do with regulating the body during periods of light and darkness, but that's a pretty vague answer.
2. Where is it made in the body?
I think the answer is the pineal gland in the brain. Correct?
3. Describe how/when/why the hormone is released.
No freaking clue. Google was of no help whatsoever.
I still think he copied it wrong or else the teacher assigned the least known hormone in the body.
Any help is appreciated.
